  1. I don't know, but I'm okay with that. +1 that's a big gun in a small hand
  2. As per the BvS trailer that was just released 1. Luthor has a Heath Ledger Joker vibe to him which I don't like 2. Doomsday looks like a Michael Bay Ninja Turtle
  3. It was a book that usually sells for $350-400 and 3 bidders sent it to over $500. For what ever reason 3 people really wanted this book. Not a key. This issue would annoy the hell out of me. Do your homework, don't bid unless you're sure. You're not some department store with a 90 day return policy who just takes anything and everything back and doesn't think twice about it. eBay advertises toward the 'little guy', or the 'individual trying to make a few extra bucks selling stuff they don't need' yet... they expect you to pony up and take the hit like Walmart when a buyer is trying to fleece you. I was once told by eBay to incorporate these occurrences into my pricing... I told CS, am I a business all of the sudden?? How many of these books do you think I have? These are my prized belongings... I don't just write off my own stuff! Grr
  4. there are so many variables for which a seller can get burned and virtually no responsibility is put onto the buyers. It's scary! I've considered not selling my books on eBay anymore... yet I still have a few posted.
  5. good question... I'd also be interested to see a site filter CGC grades i.e. Amazing Spider-Man 1 CGC 2.5 vs. getting a whole bunch of raw books or books priced too high/low
  6. PM sent with a few more searchable sites. BTW, the site looks great - I love how simple it is to use. Thanks for doing this
  7. back from CGC (coupon submission)---- ASM 5: 6.5 ASM 4: 6.5 ASM 3 7.5 ASM 2 6.0 TRIMMED.... Ok - not too terribly bad given the lot as a whole - but it had marvel chipping down the side so I did not look too closely at the rest of the cover. In any case - I like to keep a couple books from each decent score -so this one makes the decision pretty easy. Sill a bunch more on another submission (this was a 4 pack coupon sub) - but these were 1st to ship back. Sweet score!!! Bummer on the ASM 2 though - that's the one you least want coming back restored
  8. go out and buy the ASM 129 now - it's not going to get any cheaper... it's one of those books that is going to see a steady increase - always buy whatever grade fits your budget today and don't look back .... I can't say I regret selling any book because the money from those sales went to something I wanted more... I do, however, regret not buying many books!
  9. this is true - slabs aren't tight along the sides and the amount of 'play' or space between the front and back plastic covers seems to vary book to book.
  10. in low grades, SC 4 and AF 15 are very comparable in price.
  11. nice - what does it look like open? Are these cabinets the perfect 'slab' size? I've seen some custom slab dressers before - they looked good too
  12. pardon my ignorance, but where would someone find a most recent eBay User Blocked List? Is there an updated list/thread like with PL or HOS?
  13. speaking of chips, it's a damn shame the US doesn't have ketchup chips...
  14. I just turned 33 - used to collect 90's stuff as a kid... turns out that 90's drek isn't worth what I thought it would be. I got into collecting again when I was about 30 and had a job that could fund this hobby.
  15. hard to find and high grade together would be great... but that usually sees a hefty spike in $$. between the two, I'd say hard to find for sure... almost anything copper age onward can be easily found in 8.0 and up
  16. I want to be in this club.... so badly I had my eye on that 4.0, but a tad too rich for my blood right now. congrats on the pick up!!!
