  1. Who cares if some person_having_a_hard_time_understanding_my_point on eBay doesn't understand that demand is the important other side of the equation? Do you want a copy? Is that why you're so upset? Could someone please explain to me what makes this book so valuable. Thanks As recent sales demonstrate, it's not that valuable when you do factor in the demand side of the equation. I just picked up my copy of From the Void for $17, not $17,000!
  2. Just full of UG related questions today! I have another question that a thread follower could hopefully answer. Does the "true first" printing of Mickey Rat #2 with the out of order pages, actually exist and how rare is it? I have yet to see one come up for sale. If it does exist: Does anyone personally own a copy? Does anyone know what a fair market price would be?
  3. I will try posting some questions I have that relate relating to UG/alternative comix within this general thread. Any help from the followers of this thread would be appreciated. 1) Corpsemeat 1 (Savage Pencil) - can anyone confirm that there is a second printing of this item or if there is only one printing? I have seen on-line that there is a supposed 1991 second printing in existence. 2) Corpsemeat 1.5 (Savage Pencil) - does anyone know which comic this mini was bound into? There is an on-line answer: a comic called Blast #4. I have also heard that is was bound into Corpsemeat 2. Can anyone confirm its origin? 3) Eric Fromm Comic and Stories (SFCC) - I believe that Gary A. used this title for 2 types of publications - a stapled comic and for a tabloid. The tabloid has the word "Listing" at the end of the title. Both forms appear to be mailers. Can any one tell me if the above is correct and how many different issues of the EFCS stapled comic and the tabloid series exist? PS: I will attempt to contact Savage Pencil, the creator of Corpsemeat, to answer my questions. I will share if I should hear anything back from him.
  4. Others examples of inserted UG material: 1) I do not know if it was meant to be removable - trimmed copies of Uncle Sam Takes LSD bound into copies of Rip-Off Review of Western Culture 1; 2) Some issues of Ph*cked Up Funnies were inserted into NYU yearbooks; 3) The MLF Communique 1 was inserted into copies of Coevolution Quarterly (21?);
  5. The probable reason that "slug 1" or "slug 2' are not listed is that the series began life as "More Existential Fun 1" and "More Existential Fun 2". It is neat little series that a lot of UG collectors have not heard of. Makes this collecting niche a lot of fun.
  6. Thanks oldmilwaukee6er, I appreciate your assistance on this. I will share with you (and anyone else) what I have "learned". All Slug 5: 1) PROBABLY only has one printing; 2) the first (and probaly only) run was limited to just under 590 issues printed; 3) the comic came with a loose leaf Cerificate of Authenicity (signed and numbered). I hate purchasing something, only to find out later that the item should come with a certificate or that a percentage were signed and yours was not. Thank you,
  7. Would anyone have the answers to the following questions regarding the underground comix: All Slug 5 1) Was there more than one printing? 2) Were all copies issued with a numbered and signed Certificate of Authenicity? 3) Is the certifcate loose or bound within the book? Please and thank you
