  1. This thread validates my longstanding belief that the majority of Archie fans from all eras are a bunch of horndawgs lol The recently launched Clink auction has a bunch of early Archies and a Pep, looks like. Have at 'em gang !
  2. That one is a near-daily seller on ebay overall hundreds of Afterlife listings hit in the last few months, social media continues to be active about the series (e.g. Twitter). Love that it draws in a lot of non-traditional collectors, to boot... quality over quantity, baby !
  3. We appreciate you, local comics stores !! Growing up, I was fortunate to have nearby Flying Colors in Concord, CA... that was the place I bought my Venom #1, my Sinister Six ASMs and vintage Thor (1st Beta Ray Bill!), and Jim Lee's X-Men. Good ol' Copper Age. Even took a pic with Ren & Stimpy outside once; I was young enough to wonder if they were real or not. Since returning to the Bay Area from a 10+ year sojourn in NYC, I've been more apt to hit up Fantastic Comics in Berkeley via a quick BART ride. Love it ! Jeff makes CGC subbing easy, they always have the latest + greatest Modern selection, with down-to-earth and knowledgeable staff to boot. Most of my pickups there in the past year have been Afterlife with Archie and All-New Wolverine.
  4. GL !! Pick my alma mater Yale to win it all............not. }:-)
  5. I've seen Veronica better, but flattering photos of Betty and esp. Cheryl... Juggie is perfectly cast :hehe: They ought to use the food angle more, though. Where are his burgers??? Also, Sabrina as a goth/occultist babe would blow my mind.
  6. Would love to see some of your own fave books/panels, Ms. Overstreet Advisor on all things Archie I've posted plenty of my collection over the years. Also shameless plug time: You can now read my thoughts about modern Archie on Bleeding Cool! Yay Archie! Congrats on the gig, good to have an insider in there for us !

  8. Just sold another 1st print for over 32 delivered easy. The stories themselves are really good. The mature ones and more innocent renderings to boot. Eyes def got moist.
  9. Josie is fab (as seen below). What's left of Archie's ragtag bunch may need her and the Pussycats, as Sabrina is looking tied down... literally.
  10. Afterlife with Archie #6. Cthulhu appearance. Love the daily volume of chatter in the Twitterverse on the title, to this day. A recap from 2015 - http://www.methodsunsound.com/when-archie-comics-met-cosmic-horror/
  11. Those innuendos :hehe: It's a straight line from those books to the upcoming Riverdale show, hahaha...
  12. Sure feels like a bunch of Dr. Frankensteins in this thread of ours
  13. Hot damn, the Shield returns !! A crossover with Cap would've been amazing. And that ghost story There's definitely a sweet spot with the stories. Sometimes the corny factor gets a bit thick, but more often there's a perfect blend of campy, hokey, and hilarious...
  14. Latest pickup courtesy of Chuck Gower and these boards !
  15. Really enjoyed the story in the OA above the best Archie humor is timeless. Here's my latest (GA) pickup courtesy of Chuck Gower and these boards !
  16. First prints with a sticker over the barcode, or without a sticker over the barcode? With stickers, easy to remove if needed, want to see some CGC slabs come out first ! Looks like first prints with the stickers left on selling for close to 3x retail at at this point... eggcellent. If all of the 1st prints have the stickers, wouldn't removing them get a green label from CGC? I would assume so? No definitive answers 'til the first slabs come out, hopefully some collectors have already gone ahead with it. And for sure, Chadwick... a rousing success. Have a feeling Jim Lee was astute enough to see it all unfolding this way. : )
  17. Curious, what CGC label/grade designation would married books get these days, with the new slab?
  18. Kitty Pryde before Doom and the Hulk... hoom......
  19. On the CW, home of Arrow and Supergirl... this is gonna be Gossip Girl good, with a dash of Twin Peaks :hehe:
