    What's your problem?
Mike works for CGC, his handle is CGC Mike, he is their voice on here. That is good enough for me.
Let it go, whoever you are.  Stu????

I’ve been buying and selling comics and other items of “Americana” for over 50 years. I think I have heard every form of negotiation known to Man. A few that really get to me are.
”What is your best price?” Well, I already said my price. If you have a problem with it, make me an offer. I can’t sell it and buy it at the same time. If I am pushed again, I might give it to you. At that point, I have done what you asked. That’s it. Coming back on me with a lower price usually means you will leave without it.
”It isn’t worth that” I usually agree with that. My response is take it to 7-11 and see if they will give you a carton of milk for it. At the end of the day, this is junk people threw away. 98 percent of all people can’t understand why any sane person would pay anything for it. Comes down to the buyer and seller. Sometimes it is worth more to me to keep it rather than sell it.
”It is my Grail” or “For my personal collection” and then you see it turn up on another table or ebay. If it is, you should be willing to pay full price and walk away happy…
The list could go on forever…

I have removed 30 or so posts.  They are in the water cooler.  This is an important thread to many, as they have allegedly had their books and money stolen from them.  Lets keep this thread on topic.

I put the whole run together a while back and had read some issues of it when I was younger.  I sat down last month and started the grind of reading the series.  I've made it through the first 61 issues.  Thus far, I love this series, especially the first 40ish issues.  As a vet who has had to spend time in some less than desirable locations, there is definitely some relatability.  This could be part of why I am into this series.  Incompetence (and sometimes good decisions) from the top to the bottom, taking care of people even if you don't like them, dealing with certain sections of civilians, the camaraderie (even with the guys you don't like but go to bat for) and all that other stuff speak to me.  The initial format runs in real time, so one issue equals one month.  I think this changes somewhere around issue 50 and having more multi-issue stories.  The style change coincides where I feel the shark-jump may come in.  I like the Punisher and #52-53 aren't probably necessary.  That stuff could have been thrown in Marvel Comics Presents.  However, it took me quite a while that Ice (one of the main characters for several issues) makes appearances in some of the Punisher titles of the time.  It could be an out of continuity thing since Nam takes place in the "real world".  Chuck Dixon took over the writing duties with #54 and it feels like a comic book set in Vietnam (which it is) but it's the use of more multi-issue storylines but I liked his Death of Joe Hallen storyline and the three-issue arc concerning the USAF pilot in a prison camp.  Wayne Vanzant sometimes pencils some inconsistent issues but for the most part, the writing, art, editing, etc are top notch. I'll probably revisit this topic as I continue through the series.

article says 19 people contacted the local sheriff as possible victims.  From reading this thread it feels like there's probably more than 19 victims totaling.  So if you've been waiting to see if it was real or if the police was really going to do something, or have delayed reporting for any other reason (no judgment here), I'd contact them ASAP if you haven't already.
Ideally, gather all the evidence (messages, invoices, emails, screenshots, bank statements/checks, comic pictures, receipts, mailing info/documents, insurance info/claims) you have and layout a written narrative and timeline, so the police/DA don't have to keep going back and forth with you asking you obvious things.  Think of what info you might need if you were an investigator and try to answer those questions factually (not emotionally).  Do not assume the cops/prosecutors know anything about comics, so tell the specifics about the missing comics (tell them title, issue, year, publisher, any identifying marks or defects, maybe even some characters/structures on the cover if applicable).  You might think anyone can identify Amazing Fantasy 15, but honestly to some people all comics look the same.  Tell them spiderman is swinging in the middle of the cover holding a dude under his arm (or whatever).  Help make the job easier for them it will make it easier for them to help you.

    Best wishes to all.

It seems like 1 thread in comics general regarding this is enough.  Also, this thread doesn't seem to be going that well.

ComicTom is a serious problem for the community. But this is the problem. It wasn't a legit business and it doesn't make sense that Tom was promoting it.

If ComicTom had done his due diligence he would have found complaints about Hero Restoration long before he started promoting him. The business model of the youtube shill simply doesn't involve any level of research or personal responsibility. If at the first sign of complaints, Tom and Gem Mint and all the other shills immediately apologized to the community for their role in a scam then we could believe it was a good faith mistake. But these guys were still promoting Hero Restoration loooooooong after the complaints started stacking up.

Promoting a business without due diligence is morally and intellectually indefensible. Just because we see a lotta YouTubers do it, doesn't mean it actually makes sense.

That thread is a year old and it's 76 pages of trolls posting memes without any discussion, research or analysis. This post is about an actual event that just happened this week. People shouldn't have to sift through 500 trash posts in order to discuss a major event in the comics community.

I haven't picked up any in this era in a bit, as I had been going a little crazy for a while.  However I did snag this one recently.  1st Black Fox, early black costume too:

Not that this issue belongs in this specific set, but a year ago around this time I started my Hobgoblin set.  Some in this are in the bronze / modern age but a good number are copper.  I think I did pretty well in a year!

Snagged a 1st Tombstone appearance this week!  Ok, the cover's not all that but I've got a cool label to go with it.  This copy is getting to be a tougher one in this grade to track down too.
