Back in the 1990's, I penciled a few comics for Marvel, DC, and Harris Comics. I also did all the art chores on a couple of issues before moving to Hollywood to make a proper salary. When I moved to Hollywood, I sold my collection of original art by Kirby, Everett, Walt Kelly, Colin Wilson, and many others. The Kirby's in particular are now worth a fortune (they included early Thors inked by Everett, pages from Fantastic Four 19-21, a full page splash from Demon, Captain America pages, and others (about 25 pages in total). I wish I still had them but don't regret selling them because at the time I needed the money. By 2003, I had accumulated several dozen originals by Byrne, some Josh Campbell, another Kirby (an old horror story), and others. At the time, I was preparing to move to Europe for a new job, so I sold them all, including all the pages I had made. As part of that sale, I accidentally sold a complete but unpublished comic I'd done when I started out. Again, though I wish I still had the Byrnes (a lot of Next Men pages, including the cover to #13, and a few Wonder Woman pages), I don't regret those sales either because I needed the money at the time.

As far as my own work is concerned, if someone buys it from me, they own it. If it sells for millions, that's their windfall not mine and they're welcome to it. However, if that happened, my other work, including new work, would likely go up in price, so I would still benefit.

In case anyone is curious what my work looks like, here is a link to one of my websites. You'll be seeing more of my work in the near future because I started drawing comics again thanks to the lockdowns. I did a story with Chuck Dixon last year but my next story will be in Graham Nolan's anthology title "Giant-Size Two-Fisted Manly Tales" (part of a 1950's inspired comics he is doing). The other stories are all by names you'd recognize, though they won't be announced until the campaign is live.

Not to be political (this is all I'll say), but when I read you say your most recent work was with Chuck Dixon I was a bit wary, but reading the campaign page for that Manly Tales carp set off all my alarm bells with its carp about how our culture doesn't allow men to be men today. Yuck.

Sorry mate, your art looks nice, but I won't be supporting it if that's the kind of rubbish you wish to produce.

To move it back on topic, it's so nice seeing the cover to GSX1. I too thought it'd been lost.

Hi and welcome to the boards! Do you know which of the 400 books are candidates, or are we looking at the full 400 to sort through and pick from? Are they all from a certain period? Is it just a few titles we're dealing with here, or a wide selection? Just Marvel, or DC and/or other publishers too?

Sadly, Nanjiani is the only lead with any charisma in this one. Everyone else acts like robots, which is possibly intentional? It was very surprising, considering the cast. The dialogue doesn't really help any of them.

Harington is also good, but he's not a lead.

Okay, that has to be intentional, because that cast can definitely act. Are they stiffer than Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan in the opening scenes of The Phantom Menace? Because that was some robotic acting, especially Neeson (bad directing, of course, not their fault).

Nanjiani outclasses him in this, IMO.

Really? That's surprising, because IMO Madden is pretty charismatic. I know Nanjiani worked so hard for this role though, so I guess it's not too surprising that he steals the show.

Sweet Baby Jesus, I'm surprised that Artboy got a word in:

To be fair some posts got removed, and some people got warnings and threadbans. There were other posts in between some of his rants.

I still haven't got to see this yet. Hopefully I'll get a chance on the weekend to watch it. After everything I've read, my enthusiasm has been somewhat dimmed, but I'm still looking forward to seeing what Richard Madden can do. He'll be the highlight for me.

We just finished watching it. It was not the worst movie I've seen, not the best. Scenery was pretty. I know zip about the Eternals so I'm going to have to watch it again because I know I dozed off at some point. My husband who didn't even know there was such a group said it was not bad.

I thought Icarus (Ikarus?) did a little too much fire eye stuff and I was waiting to see the Black Knight on a horse...that never happened.

    Maybe next time.

Some of it was just silly.

Like when Sersi got stabbed and her outfit had no holes and Angelina Jolie being crazy and not crazy...and sometimes I couldn't tell the difference;)  But it started when everyone could sign 5,000 years ago and "Time" meant pointing to your wrist..

It's spelt Ikaris, and your spoilered part is hilarious. lol

  7. Magneto is just as, if not more of, a compelling villain than Doom. Plus you get the first appearances of multiple core X-Men, characters that are already household names like Cyclops, Jean Grey, Professor Xavier, and possibly Beast. Iceman and Archangel have excellent potential to have their stories told, especially Archangel. Imagine getting the Apocalypse saga done right on film!!

FF5 is a very lacklustre story, even for its time.

I'd have to say I'd go with the X-Men 1.

    Jaws

I think there's some leeway there. If they did a strict adaptation of the book, which was very different to the film, I'd be okay with it. It'd also give us a great chance to see how it'd look with big-budget 2022 shark, instead of all these horrible Asylum etc films, which used to be so bad they're good, and now are just so bad they're just unwatchable.

What ,s the deal with tauntaun ? I could google it but rather just ask here

    never heard of it😷👍‼️

Beautiful meat, a bit gamey, a bit of a mix between venison and bison. Due to its environment it's basically flash frozen upon kill, ensuring you're only getting the best tauntaun. Mm, stop all this Tauntaun talk you're all making me hungry.

    Spoiler

They're from the beginning of Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back, the opening Hoth sequence. They have some memorable scenes, one involving Luke's body being shoved into the abdominal cavity of one to try and maintain his rapidly dropping core temperature, and see them through the night.

They're underrated, deadset heroes of the Rebellion.

If we're lucky they'll get their own D+ series.
