  1. Didn't even know he was sick. Very shocked this morning. He did a great job.
  2. It's insane the yin-yang of this Country. Here in Florida, it has rained just about everyday for the past 4 weeks. It's raining as I type this. I know it's a very large expanse, but still. Just crazy what happens to other parts of this land.
  3. Bingo. And that is where the current Pop Music industry sits.
  4. Even some of the best retailers in the Country cap refunds at a year. I think you did what you could, and the window has passed.
  5. Yes, the 'funny cigarettes' he is smoking when coming up with his prices.
  6. I just read the HP Lovecraft story again, about a month ago. While I think Cthulha had the supernatural powers covered, ounce for ounce, Godzilla would have whooped him in old fashioned fisticuffs. As a student of Saturday matinee movies of Godzilla (free admission with 25 Pepsi bottlecaps), I consider myself a student of The School of Godzilla, and would put my life savings on him against squid face.
  7. A) it's Mile High B) If it's 14k, that means its probably a 6K book C) Chuck still has to make up for his Edgar Church losses (and by losses, I mean money he wished he made by holding decades later)
  8. Just read it. Anybody else read it? I really liked it. I can't complain about Peter David's Hulk handling. Always seem to be good imho.
  9. Great wall color. I have a similar color in my comic closet.
  10. Never really liked the movie theater thing pre-pandemic. Normally uncomfortable (but now they have upgraded reclining seats), sticky floors, overpriced concessions, people I don't know sitting way too close. Meh....Home theater is where it's at for me. I can wait months before I see a new release, it doesn't bother me. I was even able to avoid any Avengers spoilers the last two movies, before I saw them.
  11. Real cool. Would love to know the history of this. Was this a one-off, or were there a bunch made? Were they regional? Never saw one before.
  12. Black Goliath #1-5. Lock, stock and barrel nailed it down.
  13. Books were supposed to disappear with the Nook, Kindle etc. Went to Barnes and Noble a few days ago, it was very crowded, people walked out with hardcovers and paperbacks. Most people still like the feel, look and mechanics of an actual book. I think the same will hold true for comics, albeit, if DC and Marvel were smart, they would scale it back to core heroes/titles. We don't need all the B/C/D lister's with monthlies that inevitably get cancelled anyway after 14 issues.
  14. Deep Dish rules though. And Chicago Dogs are better than Coney Island Dogs.
  15. Robinhood is for people who probably shouldn't be investing in the first place. Just the name of the platform gives it an air of pretentiousness. There was the case of that poor 20 year old kid who committed suicide a few months ago, because he thought he was a $730K in the hole.
  16. But it ain't Chicago https://www.npr.org/local/309/2019/05/23/725913379/downtown-chicago-grows-while-the-south-and-west-sides-lose-population
  17. When cities let lawlessness prevail, the money leaves. Urban flight is real. It is already happening in Chicago. More Businesses will leave, and may never come back. Real estate prices will drop, landlords will resort to arson, then arsonists will resort to arson. Sad. I used to be from Chicago. That was a lifetime ago, and you couldn't pay me enough to move back.
  18. Hard to imagine what Michigan Ave, and the rest of the Loop will look like in a few years, if this keeps up. No retailer in their right mind, will want to stick around.
