Shops around these parts are getting harder and harder to find Silver/Bronze in the back issue bins. It's either a wall book or Modern now.

I hate that the word KEY gets thrown around so easily in comic collecting these days. Ebay is rife with it.
I remember at a show there was a vendor selling a Power Man issue (I believe #25), and he had some asinine price on it, because it was a 'KEY' 2nd appearance of Black Goliath.

Just a thought....Edgar Church never slabbed anything, and his books turned out pretty good.

As a youth, I was more of a 'Peacemaker'. I would always break up fights on the playground. I also tried to avoid getting into fights.
Fast forward, to early 1990's. I was in a bar in Chicago, loud music, silly string type of place. Suddenly a fight breaks out, I go jump in the middle to pull apart people, and a knife went flying through the air.
I think that was my last attempt at breaking up a fight.

Been awhile since I looked at this thread. I only have 2 titles on my pull list. Daredevil and Captain America. Currently buying the Iron Man title which is pretty good so far, and may add it. However the days of me having 10-12 titles on my monthly pull list is over.

Why don't you just buy this for $69. By time you pay for a press and a re-slab, and still a lesser grade, this would make more 'cents'

but daredevil is a lackluster hero, Captain America at the end of the day is lack luster with not many interesting villains besides Dr Doom and redskull. I cant even name any other good villain for them tbh.
Daredevil- Kingpin? Bullseye? Owl? Elektra (not villain but a fine antagonist)
Cap- Zemo? Crossbones? all the Hydra goons? Adolf himself??

I am a 22 year old and I have a better connection to superman then I do to batman. Batman is to realistic and not something I can get lost in while superman and the other DC heros are just simply from another world (Not a pun) but like how its impossible to become one of them which makes it interesting to me. If I wanna escape life I grab a superman book. you know? sometimes batman is just to real.
I've always found Superman more interesting than Bats from an overall character standpoint, for the reasons you put out there.

I thought about picking up #1, as I love the first few movies, but reading this thread, I am kind of glad I didn't.

Given that you don't own a fraction of the book, I don't see how it can be considered fractional ownership. You own a portion of the future value of the book.
Well the title of this thread is :
My experience with fractional ownership of comics: JIM #83 / $215,000
So there are people putting money into this thinking they have a 'fractional ownership'. I don't think everybody putting money into this even knows what they are buying.
