  1. When it comes to 'collectibles' older is always better. This is based on scarcity, care of condition (which people didn't back in the 1930'2-1960's, hence the Church Pedigree value among others), and desirability. The kids paying thousands for variant covers are dopes. The collectors holding Key Gold/Silver/Bronze and a few Coppers are the smart ones in the room. As long as there is an AF 15 for sale, there will be many buyers bidding for it.
  2. That's about as exciting as me posting this. But to each his own: #yawwwwnnnn
  3. I liked Boot Hill, D&D's Wild West version. There was an unofficial character list floating around, that had the cast from Good, Bad and Ugly (Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallach, Lee Van Cleef), The Magnificent Seven, Chuck Connors (The Rifleman) and other Western movie classic stat lines.
  4. I knew a Dungeon Master, who wore a shirt that said "Magic Users have crystal balls!"
  5. Nothing pops out as needing to go the extra distance and grade. Always cool to see the things you retained from childhood decades later (sometimes I wished I had hung onto stuff longer )
  6. When I talk to any shop owner, none have anything good to say about Diamond. Maybe a change is needed after all.
  7. Not a fan of 'sight unseen' purchasing at that price, but if you don't take chances....

    $5.99?

I have only Captain American and Daredevil on my pull list (recently dropped Hulk). After awhile, you realize most of this will be in the dollar bins soon anyway, soo.....

You can get decent Bronze Age books for less. Time to switch focus.
  10. Ahhh....one of my favorite run's from my favorite era's. This is my childhood.
  11. I like to look it over, come up with what I think it is, then use the 'Overstreet Comic Book Grading Guide' book to see how I did.
  12. Um yeah...no (and I know you are being sarcastic). Said it before, since March 2020 the rich just got richer, and more money to play with in their stock portfolios. It's not us common folk moving the needle with our stimulus money.
  13. Chuck definitely suffers from some type of hoarding disorder, in the sense where his perception of value differs from the population.
  14. And yet Chuck still prices his books based on the sales records of this method + 20%
  15. Always love seeing that Hulk bank. I had one up until 1983 before we moved. I gave it to my next door neighbors boy, he was about 1/2 my age at the time, so I like to think I paid it forward.
