  1. This is more in line with the response I was expecting lol.
  2. Thank you! Im very pleased with the book. I wanted the one rick posted not to long ago but it was sold by the time I saw it. This one has better page quality anyways.
  3. Thank you! But im sure if you did have one it would be far superior haha.
  4. This Beauty just came in the mail today from Clink. Im sure it has been discussed before if its "actually" a baker cover, but I didn't feel like reading 400 pages to find out. Regardless CGC says it is so a guess it belongs here .
  5. With the way prices are going your going to need it.
  6. Fresh back from CGC. Very nice 4.0 Showcase 8, Book has been pressed. Graded 0.5 Lower then I was expecting. SOLD Yellow line is a scanner defect.
  7. If you say so. I don't really feel like arguing about it. Well then Maybe its just me. But wherever I see a Cerebus 1 I always struggle When Looking at the "Glossyness". Not to mention you actually have to have the book in hand or an interior pic. Not saying your wrong. I just like other methods better.
  8. Agree to disagree, All color/gloss can and will fade if not properly stored. Like I said SIDE BY SIDE its easy to tell. Im not saying there is no difference, all im saying is Single book in the wild you start to second guess yourself unless you have seen a boatload of them. Thats why I dont think you should go just by Gloss.
  9. Its true Especially with a lower grade book. Gloss fades on all books. Iv seen real ones that haven't looked glossy. You can tell if you have a real and fake side by side. But a low grade counterfeit in the wild is tough unless you use the other methods
  10. Counterfeit for sure, I Think the easiest way to tell is to look at the S at the end of Cerebus and the $1. the S and $1 on the real ones are never fully printed on. The $1 should have ink missing on the bottom right corner. The Bottom of the S should not be complete either. See how the S is pretty much complete on the fake one? On the real there is a lack of white ink on the bottom. Same with the $1. Bottom right corner should be missing. Iv Double checked every real and fake copy I have seen and so far it holds true.
  11. Facebook is a little rough. The constant "how do I get a book graded" Posts get a little tiring. Its my least favorite comic related platform. As of right now yes, I was debating getting a table. But ill probably just attend.
  12. Just my opinion, The hobby is alive and well. Most other online places are busier then ever. Most people I know have an account here but rarely use them. It seems most boardies Tend to ignore a new or unknown person replying in a thread regardless of the posters content. Most seem hesitant to go out on a limb and say "Hi" So to speak. It seems to be a rather tight knit group and breaking in can be rather difficult. Even more so if whoever is new has a sub par knowledge of the hobby. It seem to be the only way to get "In" is to make a splash and most new guys hardly make a ripple. If everyone seems to be ignoring you, whats the point of posting? If a responce is given there seems to be a 50/50 chance of it being friendly or not. Selling on here is a totally different animal. Unless you one of a select few it seems no one wants to touch your books unless its just to cheep to pass up. I have seen this more times then I can count. Books that sell instantly elsewhere just sit here on the boards unless posted by the right guy. And again this is just what I have observed, Im sure its not whateveryone wants to hear and im sure it wont help my standing with the comunity. But this seem to be the oppinion of a large group of people as well as myself. Having said all that the boards are great, and there are some fantastic member here. I enjoy reading the threads and seeing peoples oppinions and some fantasic books. Its one of the reasons I have stuck around.
  13. Adding this Batman 181 to the thread. Unsure of pressing history. Yellow Line is a scanner defect. SOLD
