  1. Probably not a real good time to inquire about this in the middle of the Reholder Scam which included custom labels. -bc
  2. This might have been already asked, but have you done detailed measurements of the book to compare it to other books of the same era? I understand that during that period, there were often minor discrepancies in the publishing process. But at least it may provide some better idea of the books integrity. -bc
  3. And here kids, is why you shouldn't drink alcohol for breakfast. -bc
  4. Thanks @DR.X ! The bomb-proof package arrived a bit ago. Took 10 minutes to extract my prize - do you hold shares in some tape stocks??? Intro was funny, look forward to checking out the rest! Thanks again Tim! -bc
  5. And why that color of nail polish? -bc ps - that the actual CGC pic for that cert#. Don't think I've ever seen that on a book image
  6. This is how it may have gone down.. Perp buys a legit 9.8 ASM300 with cert# 111111111 Perp buys a donor ASM300 Perp replaces legit book with donor and submits it to CGC as an ME/custom job (note perp still has legit 9.8) CGC does their magic and the donor book now has cert # 11111111 Perp sells the donor book to poor sucker Perp submits legit 9.8 ASM300 again (still in its original inner well), likely gets 9.8 with cert # 22222222 Perp buys another donor ASM 300 Perp replaces legit book with 2nd donor and submits to CGC as an ME/custom job (note: perp still has legit 9.8 still in inner well) CGC does their magic and the donor book now has cert # 222222 Perp sells the second donor book to poor sucker lather, rinse repeat. If it was me, I'd invest in a few more legit 9.8's to increase cash flow and account for TATs and reduce suspicion. -bc
  7. Depends on the ratio of submissions vs reholders. They sorta had some QC issues recently.... -bc
  8. Why not shove a new donor book into the new slab, claim an ME and still have the original 9.8 in hand. That's how I'd do it to multiply the cash flow and take advantage of TATs. -bc
  9. With these high dollar books, was he doing Walk-Thru tier since it was available? This person seemed to submit a decent amount of books based on what has posted here and the CGC announcement. -bc
  10. As I pointed out in my random example of the Iron Man 1 that was graded last Friday - this person has a steady supply of material to dump. -bc
  11. Ok, let me correct myself then, he not only practiced on them, he mastered the technique and then manipulated the market. -bc
  12. Definitely dabbled in early SA keys as well. Interesting to see if they took advantage of the custom label offerings for these. -bc
  13. I don't know anymore Plus it shows "the individual" was still pumping books thru CGC as recent as last Friday....crazy. -bc
  14. Just picking a random one from the list: 0003601-001 Iron Man #1 1968 9.6 (Universal) If I look up that cert # it shows it was graded on 12/29/2023 Isn't that a very early cert number to just be graded last Friday? Others that start with "00" go back to 2008/2009 grade dates. -bc
