That's  the  way  to  do it,  folks!  Dig  through  that  recap  and find  those  bargains.

While I  have  everyone's  attention,   I  have  a  question  for  the  crowd.   The  pieces  and  parts  that  have  accumulated
in the  basement  are  filled  to  overflowing,  I  have  over  three  stuffed  magazine  boxes  of  pieces  and  parts.

Plenty  of  GA  and  50's  plus  nice  SA  books,   all  incomplete  in  one   way  or  another.

Coverless,   CF  or  other  page out,    complete  cover  wraps,  front  covers  only,   bits  and  pieces  of  all  different  sorts.

Would  anyone  be  interested  in  a  thread  of  that sort?  Everything  from  Amazing  Spider-Man 1  with  a  couple  folds  missing  but
both  first  fold  and  CF  still  there  to  a  coverless  Avengers 4  to   an early  Wonder  Comics  and   Worlds  Finest  2  complete
cover  wraps,  plus  plenty  of  other  lesser  but  interesting  oddballs.

I'd  like  to  thin  the herd,  but  don't know  if  there's  enough  interest  to  start  a  separate  thread.

    Let me know your thoughts.

    Yes! Go for it!

  2. So every time you see Action 61, it's always accompanied by the description "atomic radiation cover". What evidence is there that this is what the cover depicts? As I look at the cover, I see Supe putting out an oil fire; note the oil rigs in the background. Does anyone have any info on this?

And...the image of the book is one I found on the net, and I note an odd code in the A of Action - is this an Okajima?

    Thanks for your time!  --ElJay

Until @sagii and @Robot Man posted the Ha Ha's, I forgot they were ACG's. I think of this as right up there for ACG classic covers, humor or no, behind perhaps only those two romance covers, lunatic lover and I sold my baby. Forgive the rattiness, this thing seems impossible to find. Happy to have one at all.

Yours looks a lot like mine! I've been after an upgrade for awhile, but no luck so far.

I love the Red Ryders! Very cool looking books. Harman was such a stylized cartoonist. If you like his work, seek out a couple of his Sunday comic pages. They present really well and often feature larger panels and even splashes uncommon in other strips.

I was first exposed to Fred Harman and Red Ryder back when I was a kid, reading the Sunday Funnies. I forgot all about him until a year or so ago, when I came across a Red Ryder comic book and it ignited my interest. I not only like his drawing style, but the stories are a cut or two above the norm, IMO. So far I have 3 or 4 Red Ryders, but I plan on steadily and slowly collecting them.

Chaplains at War (Living Bible #3) Spring 1946 Living Bible Pubs

Classic, very sad L.B. Cole cover. The look on those service men is very haunting... Great WWII stories and art in this book.

Book is neatly detached from covers. Numerous small tears, wrinkles, creases and wear. Small piece out of back cover at top as well as front cover at top. Interior paper is yellowed, supple with no damage. A filler and priced that way.

    $30.
