  1. I tend to avoid variants, except for issues that look like they have the potential to become key issues, but large press runs. For instance, I purchased a WD 100 Adlard sketch variant. WD 100 is a potential key issue for multiple reasons, but has a HUGH press run, but by buying the 1:200 variant I know at least that cover is limited to about 1800 copies. Or sometimes if I just like the cover. Splurging for 10 or 15 bucks to get a cover I really like is nothing compared to some of my other purchases.
  2. Ok stuff under glass, but one has slipped down. Need to fix that.
  3. Then again there are modern that are cemented in this place as key issues. I highly doubt that WD 1, NYX 3, or Batman Adventures 12 will ever make it back into the dollar bin.
  4. Just grabbed a very nice raw copy for $65, should be an easy 9.6, fingers crossed for 9.8. I did it as a buy now. The next day a auctioned raw copy similar grade went for almost $130/
  5. I think the issue with Alias 1 is the black cover combined with black back cover gives you color breaks right from the printer down the spine created when the presses folded the issue. I wonder how much the graders count that against the issue. CGC claims they take known printing defects into account when grading.
  6. I just paid $65 for a raw Alias #1 that was listed as a 9.4. I did my happy dance when I got the issue and it looks like an easy 9.6 maybe better. Has one minor spine crease otherwise, I am hard pressed to find anything wrong with it.
