  1. Hello; I am finally going to sell some of my collection and decided at first to set up at a local show. I will be bringing all of my Spidey Ditko's including my #1 CGC 4.5 OFF-WHITE PGS, #9 CGC 8.5, #15 CGC 9.0 and #20 CGC 9.0 just to name a few. Also have much Golden age Batman, Detective, Action and Superman for sale. The show is: NEWMARKET CARD & COMIC SHOW held Saturday March 10th 2018. 10:00 am to 4:00p.m in Southern, Ontario Canada. It is held at the Newmarket Community Centre, 200 Doug Duncan Drive, Newmarket, Ontario Canada. If you are in Toronto Ontario or the surrounding areas of Toronto this show may interest you. Just ask for the dealer "THE GOLDEN AGE" and you will find us. It is free to enter and browsing is encouraged!! Thanks!
  2. I completely agree with the tape reasoning. So we shall see the results of the Tec 35's offered by comic connect in a few weeks.
  3. Great question on lower grade copies. I have seen CGC 3.0 go for anywhere between $150 to high $600 so I guess it depends the quality of the book. Remember lower grade copies are not that scarce, only 6.0 and higher are less frequently for sale and scarcer.
  4. Great point, true market indicator!!
  5. I guess the only way to find out is to put one of my two 6.5 copies on Ebay with BIN AT $5500.00 and see what happens?
  6. Yes a fantastic Joker cover! but current valuations indicate prices sold are all over the place. A good example is the reported sale of the same book sold twice in 2017. According to GPA the same Batman #73 CGC 6.5 sold for $1400.00 on March 5th 2017 and resold on Dec 6th 2017 for $5,600.00. If the 2nd sale is validated as accurate, not a bad increase for a 9 month investment. Any thoughts of what current market prices should bring on a Batman #73 graded CGC 6.0 to CGC 8.0?
  7. This book seems to be rising the last 6 months. I know it's the origin of the Batcave and scarce in higher grades but mid grade books are noticing significant bumps! Last reported sales that I found: Detective #205 CGC 8.0 $2766 Listed on GPA Sept/2017 [no real surprise of sale price] Detective #205 CGC 5.5 $825 Listed on GPA Nov/2017 [somewhat surprised of sale price] Detective #205 CGC 5.0 $1685 Sale pending on last Comic Link auction [very surprised of sale price] Can't find any copies in any grade right now for sale to compare prices. Just seems I could locate mid to lower grade at anytime prior to the last six months. I'm not looking for any copies as I have two in my collection but the current market value of this book is finally catching on!
  8. The CGC 3.0 on Comic Link just sold for $13,250. This sale puts around 8 x Overstreet,,,not bad at all!
  9. Actually this show is pretty good on the comic side! I set up 3 shows last year and did very good [ sold silver age Amazing Spider-Man and Fantastic Fours as well as many Golden Age Batman's.] I booked 3 shows starting March 10th, April 21st and May 26th for this year. I will be selling mostly Golden Age Batman, Detective and Action comics to name a few. Have both raw and slabs. Also will be bringing some of my Ditko Amazing Spidermans all slabbed some higher grades. I will be more specific on exactly what books I will be bringing and prices for them sometime in February.
  10. Yes I was thinking 7 to 7.5 myself. Bought it years ago from Metro before CGC and their team graded it 7.5.
  11. I'm thinking now of a resub since old labels are not in style. Rick was very close to market valuation!!
  12. Newmarket Comic and Card show May 27th Hello Everyone, I will be setting up at this small show in Newmarket Ontario Canada on May 27th. If you can make it, then you will be in for a treat if you collect Golden Age Batman's. Many slabs and raw books of some key books! Some notable books include Detective #67 and #140, Batman #23 and several copies of Batman #73 in various grades. Hope to see you there!
  13. Just wish I had the Canadian counterpart to go with this
  14. I wonder what a CGC 6.5 would bring in todays market?
  15. That's correct a Tec #187 is not that scarce in lower grades but over 6.0 then were not finding to many issues. It took me about 15 to 20 years to accumulate these. I have a few more as well and will post at a later date!! I have lost just as much as I have won at any various auctions. Some of these purchases were at conventions in the late 90's. Prices seem pretty high now so I think retirement for purchasing this issue is a consideration!
  16. Just need the front cover, but would have to dabble into my retirement funds if one came available
  17. This helps explain why copies go for so much when they come up for sale. Batmans and 'Tecs are pretty common, but 32 copies in one person's hands could contribute to an artificial scarcity. Do you hoard anything else or just this? I do have multiples of Tec # 200 and Bats # 73 that come to mind. Also have a few more Tec 187 not shown in photo. ive got some copies you can buy and add to your hoard Yikes,,Gator you tease me but for now my hoarding interest is elsewhere.
