  1. I would love to know how many people go in on this $1,000 option. It seems very...excessive?
  2. Kelley Jones Batman arrived right before Christmas, pretty good way to end 2021.
  3. I thought I would share a fun Mignola memory. In 2013 the MoPop Museum and the Seattle Modern School of Film hosted a truly unique event. So unique I think it must have all just been a dream and no way it really happened. The museum played the movie Moby D ick in one of it's smaller rooms with Mike in attendance, since it was one of his favorite movies. Before the movie Mike answered a bunch of questions, then we all watched the movie together, and that was pretty much the extent of it from what I recall lol. I remember Mike saying he liked to have the movie on in the background while he worked. Looking back this was such an odd night and experience but truly memorable. I managed to get Mike to draw a quick Hellboy head doodle in one of his sketchbooks I had taken with me to the show. Anyways, thought I would share since this is a Mignola thread! The Modern School of Film presents FILM/FANTASY "Hellboy" Creator-Mike Mignola Screening & Discussion of John Huston's MOBY D ICK (1956) The creator of HELLBOY - one of the most iconic comics ever published - inaugurates our Film/Fantasy series with, arguably, Cinema's most improbable adaptation (---script by Ray Bradbury, with a small turn by a guy named Welles.) Call us, honored.
  4. His remarques were $300 at Rose City Comic con, I didn't purchase one but they looked similar to the ones being offered by CGC.
  5. I started hanging some art and it morphed into a Space themed wall...
  6. As both an Eastman and TMNT fan, I think this is a bit much. I would have used the black areas for the Turtles heads. But as long as the owner is happy who cares?
  7. I just want to say that I went to the exhibit that was in Seattle and it was amazing. They had various movie props but more importantly some really famous original art on display! If anyone can make it to the exhibit I would highly recommend it.
  8. Here are some quicker/cheaper ones, most if not all of these were from ECCC in Seattle.
  9. I'm a big fan of his style, I always swung by and talked to him when he would come to Seattle for ECCC. I picked up this Thanos from him one year at the show...
  10. I've always enjoyed his work, his style seems to work for the darker stories he usually works on.
  11. I wish I could contribute to this more, but I only have this free Batman sketch he did. It was from the Emerald City Comic Con, 2013 I believe.
  12. Looks like Jim Lee officially cancelled ECCC. Just my opinion, but I would not be surprised if the whole convention is cancelled due to the Coronavirus. Many of the comic guests have already cancelled.
  13. Picked this one up from his dealer a couple of years ago...
  14. Since I'm a big Tim Sale fan I'd like to see this thread keep going! I picked up this head sketch this year, it's part of a bigger Spider-man Jam I'm working on.
  15. Got this one at ECCC 2018, if you pick up his 2019 sketchbook you will see it in there!
  16. I hung my Declan Shalvey Flash Gordon #3 cover in the guest room. It surprisingly fit in a standard sized frame (11 x 17).
  17. Thanks for the comment. Long story short, I know someone who is friends with her, she actually took about 5 sketches total late last year and finished mine up recently. I think she does random shows every now and then as well.
  18. Some recent pickups... Stan Sakai Leonardo Sophie Campbell Donatello
  19. I have a couple of pencil sketches I've picked up over the years, here are two of them.
