  1. I like the Blue Virgin cover better than the Gold one and I bought 2 sets of those...I'll have to get a set to go with the Golds and the #3 I preordered.
  2. The XMEN Blue has a much higher print run than the Xmen Gold...
  3. I'm unsure of the issue here. Is it because the date is incorrect for the signature? I consistently have the wrong dates on items Ive gotten graded....especially sketched books. Does anyone know that AC didn't talk to McFarlane about holding the book since they are one of his facilitators? Sometimes you make judgement calls for customer service. This guy doesn't seem like a reseller and probably didn't know about Todd's CGC rules. He doesn't advertise them at cons and many people don't tie themselves to CGC forums. Sometimes you bend a rule to take care of your (CGC, McFarlane, and AC) customer. Similar to when retailers do returns on items even when the items are past the return date. Certain situations have circumstances tied to them that validates a bend of the rule. I think going on a witch hunt, crucifying a facilitator and pretending to be CGC without knowing what actually took place from all sides is a little harsh. As stated by someone before, this is done more than most probably want to admit.
  4. The Campbell exclusive X-Men Golds are amazing.....I think his best work in a while. Can't wait for these!
  5. Wow...one of THE best Transformers sketches I've seen done. Love Crain's work...I have a Ghost Rider. May have to try for a Transformers one now...CONGRATS!!
  6. Just received my Elektra 3pk unsigned. Didn't get a remark, but they look great!!
  7. Last I heard, there are no plans for him to come to the US.
  8. Yeah, it is...I was emailed tonight that pic as well as its on Frankie's FB page.
  9. My condolences to anyone that ordered the Ultimate Edition Iron Fist #1....
  10. If you had a COA, a video of him signing it, a hand written letter from Campbell, and $1000 cash for CGC it would not be graded as a part of their Signature Series.....but CGC would appreciate the tip. Only way for CGC SS is a CGC witness as its being done...not after. If not....green label.
  11. Maybe he's coated in generic adamantium that didn't really hold up as well as original adamantium. Times were tough and it was a little cheaper....got 3 out of 5 stars on google shop so didn't seem like a bad way to go at the time.
  12. Is this book really selling for $180 already?! For sale or selling.....? 2 separate things OK, what's it selling for? Ebay has none that have sold and only 1 listed. It's a huge spread between $30 and $180.

  14. Not yet. Still looking for the right artist. Most want a realism look and I want it just like the comic.
  15. So I got this done by Herb Trimpe in 2013 at Comikaze after I had decided I was going to get the Hulk and Wolverine battle tattooed. The problem was that the Hulk's legs were cut off. I found a clean image of the cover online and printed it slightly smaller than the paper so that there was room to draw around it. When I asked Herb to draw it, he kinda chuckled and told me no one had ever asked him to do that. He took it to his room that night and brought it back the next day. He was really excited about having done it. He said the he had an "epiphany of this beautiful Japanese forest scenery and on the very edge of the forest on a cliff was this fight going on but on a much smaller scale than the scenery". He didn't charge me a thing for doing it and said he appreciated the chance to do it. After that, I had gotten a few sketches from him...but this is what I treasure most. Seems like a lot of fans of this book on here and I figure everyone would appreciate this as much (if not more) than I do.
  16. Is there a reason that cover 1a is worth so much more than the others (not blank)?
  17. He is spotty with his signature. Key is to get to him early when he just starts signing. I got 9 books signed by him a few weeks ago. I was one of the first in line, I window boxed exactly where I wanted him to sign and they look really really good. If you window box where you want and make it a tight spot, but enough room, he seems to concentrate on it more. I do have a couple other books where his signature is sloppy (I hate his signature in silver sharpie). Or if you're meeting him to get signed, bring a new sharpie for him to use. He won't change the marker when he's pressed the point off...that's when the signature gets rough.
  18. Who's got some money..... http://www.ebay.com/itm/282326999188
  19. What's the chances of the cover being an original art piece similar to DCs Jim Lee sketches? Who would they tap to "almost" make the price worth it? Romita Sr?
  20. Also, all the DC covers including the Harley Quinn are in his sketchbook.
