  1. On the JSC thread, there is a pic posted showing a signed JSC comic with COA bought at his booth without out him being there to sign in front of a witness but still qualifying for a gold SS label. If this is now allowed by CGC, what keeps me from buying signed Aspen books by Michael Turner and getting them gold label?
  2. I think Ultimate Fallout #4, the Djurdjevic variant, will go up. With Marvel trying so hard to diversify their lineup, and Miles Morales being one of the longest running and accepted changes in comics, I can see him showing up in a movie or getting his own.
  3. Just in from CGC...all signed by Sam Keith and William Messner-Loebs. A couple of these I think I can press into 9.8s.
  4. The one time I met him it was the last day of a con. He was over an hour late. When he did show up he ate his Starbucks breakfast in front of about 100 people waiting in line for 20 more minutes before signing. Then he only signed for an hour or so before he had to leave to catch his plane. The first person in line was a vendor with a sketch book that JSC spent half an hour sketching on. The first interaction I had was about 6 years ago. He had offered up 10 sketch opportunities for $500 a piece about 2 months or so before a con. I paid for 2...one DC and one Marvel character. When the con came, he had only done 1 of the 10 (not mine) and said he didn't have time to do them with sdcc coming up so he gave refunds after having the money for a couple months. I strongly feel that he's only popular based on his talent and not on his personality...
  5. J Scott's site has now changed to April 24th as the ship date for both X-Men Gold and Blue. First they increased the print run then they change the shipping date (for reprint interior Gold?)...the shady way these books are being handled is really pushing me away from purchasing anymore from him....
  6. The dreaded purple label. Check with CCS...they can possibly remove the color touch for you.
  7. $90 for $12 worth of books with his cover isn't really "retail"....
  8. Anyone get notification on X Gold shipping? Website says April 12th at the latest for shipping.
  9. Haven't seen this announced yet, but it's on his website..... https://jscottcampbell.com/collections/jsc-exclusive-covers/products/jean-grey-1-j-scott-campbell-store-exclusive-cover
  10. Did Stan raise his price again? Last I heard it was $100 for his auto...
  11. I know we wouldn't have Venom with this original idea....but this was a pretty cool idea Randy had....
  12. Anyone else see the Secret Empire variant with Stan? What the hell happened to Mary J and Silk? Silk isn't horrible, but MJ looks rough....
  13. I made this comment when they initially released the first pic that was horrendous. It was for the first people that pre-ordered the Ultimate edition without seeing it. A day or so later they changed the image...
  14. Not a Crow sketch, but was able to get this commissioned from O'Barr 3 years ago...came back a 9.8.
  15. I ordered 4 of the Iron Fist Midtown variants and received then last week. 1 looks like a 9.8, 1 has a couple spine dings, but 2 have a small slice on the spine on the back. They both have it in the same place. Anyone else have this issue?
  16. I think they're starting to see this now... http://www.newsarama.com/33843-late-16-sales-downturn-told-marvel-people-didn-t-want-any-more-diversity.html
  17. Cute....another keyboard crusader. I'll use smaller words for you. Do you know, for a fact, that this wasn't approved by McFarlane or by CGC? As no one has heard from the other side, you don't just assume they're guilty because you want to catch someone so badly doing wrong.
  18. Not the original, but still one of my "prize possessions". The smaller sketch on back is Frank Miller.
  19. Also, Herb Trimpe also comes to mind as someone that never charged for autos and even did full body sketches for just $100 everytime I seen him. He even took more than he would originally say he'd do and work on them in the hotel room at night...
  20. How much of this is creator initiated? From what I understand, McFarlane for example chose to have private signings with facilitators because he felt his fans were being overshadowed by the "business fans" after CGC autos for resell. Most of the creators that have facilitators are usually in pretty high demand...could it be that they're doing it more so to have more time with fans as well as potential customers to the products they brought to sell?
  21. I remember about 10 minutes before they went on sale that they were taken off the website for about 5 minutes or so...I was refreshing the page that I'd saved from the previous night. Maybe it was taken down to update the print run just before they went on sale...
