  1. Thanks, but don't. Let them get it out, it's all they've got Is this the same guy that cried about Chandler and DWC in another post? Starting to think he was at fault now instead of them
  2. I'm going to take a guess....the "Secret" variant will be a pink version.
  3. I grabbed a set...I like it's not just a color or not color variants but look more like 3 different covers
  4. I'm a fan of Clayton Crain's, but $129 for 3 books seems a little steep. Plus I've only had 1 experience with Comixposure and it wasn't pleasant. Think I'll wait for a slabbed one to hit the market....
  5. Bulletproof said they were holding back a certain amount of those for NYCC. What were they charging at the booth ? -J. The sets were $200 at the Bulletproof booth. Interesting. That would explain the fresh deluge of them on eBay. Thanks for the info. -J. I can see this practice picking up on future store's "exclusive" rare variants
  6. Makes sense...800 print run Harley Quinn Pink sells for almost $500 raw. This is a 500 print run...actually surprised they're not selling for more...
  7. Still not a bad price though man.Who knows what a 5 x SS commands in today's market? I only paid $200 for it raw...all in with sigs I was about $400 or so invested so I made out at the time. Not that sorry, but was a great book at the time...just not a lot of attention like now. $200 all in with five sigs?!!?? That means no Stan so I guess the other sigs were cover artist, interior artist, Slott, jaydog & lethal collector? Correction, I just looked at my pic of it and it was only 4 signatures...I remember wanting Quinones, but not able to get him. It had Stan Lee, Slott, Delgado, and Ramos. My mistake.
  8. Thanks for the help....I was actually able to get this done this weekend at FanFest.

  10. I'm shocked how much this book has went up. I sold my 9.8 SS signed 5x for $1800 about 4 years ago....and that was a huge sum for that book then. Maybe should've kept it.....
  11. Alex Milne, Casey Coller, Guido Guidi. Andrew Griffith are some of the BEST Transformers artists. I would say Don Figueroa too, who designed the Stealth Bomber Megatron, but there is a lot of Bad Blood between him and IDW over that design and he has sworn off all Transformers drawings IIRC. Awesome. I appreciate it. I read the books when they first came back through DW but got out of comics just before IDW took over. Although I haven't read the stories, it's nice to see that most of the art is still as fantastic as when DW had it. Are these guys pretty easy to get sketches from or is it pretty limited?
  12. Does anyone have any suggestions on some of the top artists on Transformers to get commissions from so that I can keep an eye out at shows? The last few I've gotten have been from Livio, which have turned out amazing, but I'd like to get some others as well. Not everyone can "bring the metal to life" and I'm not current on the IDW Transformers series to see who's doing it now. Currently I have Transformers sketches from Trimpe, Liefeld, Mike Miller, Jae Lee, and LIvio....just looking to add to it. I appreciate the help in advance...thanks!
  13. Funny when a book doesn't sell out in 10 minutes, it's a "failure". It'll still sell out just like the Harley did and the print one for it was much higher. Aspen made a great move at this print run...there's enough for true "collectors", the resellers have less interest, and they'll still sell out for more revenue. From a business stand-point, it was smart.
  14. You must work for them. You seem to have the insight. They posted it on a comment on FB.
  15. Anyone notice the Batman Variants that were CGC'd and sold on ebay had a publish date of "8/16" on the label? I haven't really looked at the dates much before but is there a reason it's not dated for this month instead of August?
  16. I didn't have any problem. I kept refreshing the homepage til they showed up and when it did I added 3 to my cart and purchased. I even paid through paypal which took me off page to sign-in to pay. Seemed like pages were loading a little slow, but other than that no issues.
  17. Pretty much dead on accurate. It would not surprise me if Aspen has sat back and watched their first two Turner variants (Batman and Spider-Man) sell out fast and have some people reselling for a lot more on eBay, something I don't frown upon but also can understand the other side's argument about advertising books as a certain condition before they have them. I believe I read somewhere Aspen was going to have an allotment of the Justice League #1 variant at SDCC, and while they have said the print run has increased, it would not surprise me if the color cover will have 5000 made, and the sketch cover have 3000 made. Increasing the print run and limiting the books per customer will at the same time make it so more collectors/fans can have them in their collection but also should see the prices not spike so high. In many ways everyone wins, more fans get it, and Aspen sees more revenue. I am just curious if some of the proceeds are going to Turner's family, I have not really been following these variants but hopefully the Turner family is seeing some of this money. If they really wanted to make money, they'd have a really high print run and not advertise it....then put no restrictions on the amount you could purchase. Would probably only work once, but you'd make a lot of money off resellers at that time.
  18. How do you know? Where'd they post it? Everything I've seen hasn't confirmed the print run, and there are rumors that this print run would be higher. I emailed Aspen after I received my Batman books and they told me they were limiting the quantities and increasing the print runs. 1500/3000 seems like quite enough...I guess if people are going to whine they'll just crank up the presses. Maybe 2500/5000 Supply & Demand....if resellers are buying and flipping for 5x as much to settle demand for it, why wouldn't Aspen print more to satisfy the demand and make the additional profit?

  20. Hopefully your right with them limiting how many sets someone can order I emailed Aspen about concerns on future books....they told me they increased the print and is limiting the purchasing. They limited better on the Spiderman ones, but the print was already complete.
  21. They are increasing the print on the next books....and limiting purchases.
