  1. Thanks for the input guys. Maybe I'll just keep it as is. The cover is attached, believe it or not!
  2. I have an AF 15 CGC 1.0 I bought raw a number of years ago. A couple of pieces from the back cover fell off inside the bag and board before I had it slabbed. I was debating if I should crack it, tape the pieces on and gamble for a 1.5? I always thought CGC gave a purple label to books with taped on pieces, otherwise I would've taped them on before slabbing the first time. I wanted to get some opinions. Because looking at it now, I'm not so sure the grade would improve. There are still other small pieces missing from the front and back covers. I don't know. What do you guys think?
  3. Forget that SDCC Exclusive, I got the real exclusive here: JSC DNA sample, root on the hair and all! Soon to be on Ebay for $1M. This is kinda gross and probably not JSC (not that it matters, ewww). It's a signed copy, so I don't want to break the seal on the back to remove it. I messaged them and asked if I could swap out a copy at SDCC. Hopefully they answer...
  4. Same. My borderline OCD collecting habits will likely make my eye twitch with a CBCS case sticking out. Though that cover was too good to pass up
  5. Marvel Age #87 - Danny Ketch Ghost Rider... perhaps?
  6. I just heard about the JSC versions an hour ago. I love his ASM covers so I'm all over that!
  7. Yeah same here for the most part. I'll pick up a store variant from time to time when it stands out. Speaking of incentives. Any idea what the Remastered covers look like? I haven't been able to find anything
  8. Why would I pump and dump? Makes no difference to me, I just dig this cover.
  9. A ton of retailer variants are popping up. I'm digging this Lucio Parrillo one from Sad Lemon: https://www.sadlemoncomics.com/products/amazing-spider-man-800-lucio-parrillo-red-goblin-trade-virgin-variant-set-limited-to-700
  10. These are my copies. I'd love to own a copy without MC, but with the premium they bring in mid-grade, I doubt I'd ever be able to afford one anymore. So, while I'm not a fan of MC, but I do have an acceptable level. The 5.0 has very minor MC. The 1.0 technically has no MC, but has pieces falling off all over. I'm happy and that's what counts!
  11. Yeah I think so as well. Most of his listings are old corvette car parts and random stuff. Looks like he is just cleaning out his garage. However, he also sold a few other comics lots that made me cry. One had Justice League #1 and FF5 for $75, another with Aquaman 1 for $90... and a copy of JiM 83 for $550. Someone out there got mega lucky.
  12. Not sure if this really counts considering the thread title, but I really wanted to share this with you guys! I found these on Ebay in a series of horribly labeled lots from one seller. Paid $190 total for everything. Average grade is VG, some worse, some better. I'm stoked on the Showcase 27!
  13. I bought an unpressed FF1 3.0 at SDCC in 2016 for $4k. Had it pressed and reslabbed and it came back 4.5.... needless to say, I am pleased with my timing.
  14. The ComcXposure variant is up 20 minutes early https://comicxposure.com/products/amazing-spider-man-797-leg-comicxposure-dellotto-3-pack?variant=6933166653485
  15. I'm not sure there are only 600 printed. The Comic Mint sale only said 600 were "available." The book was also apparently sold at "site partners" but nobody seems to know who or what those sites are.
  16. When I was a kid in the early 90s, about 12-13 or so, my stepdad gave me his box of comics that he and his brother collected from the late 50s through 60s. Almost all DC, heavy on Batman, Hawkman, Aquaman and the Superman family stuff. Lots of Our World at War and Sgt Rock type books as well. My kid brain thought it'd be a great idea to sell all of those books, which I did by shipping them to someone I found in the OPG... and then using that money to buy modern stuff. In the 90s. One book I know was in there was Batman 121. I still wake up in cold sweats thinking about it. At least I still have the Gold Foil edition of Savage Dragon vs Savage Megaton man I bought with it
  17. And the variant crowd just lost their collective s$%t...
  18. I saw this exact book on display at SDCC back in July. Back cover is chewed up.
  19. Yeah. It's possible they weren't there to begin with. I got there early and was the 2nd or 3rd person to start digging. Looking through was intense... I'd find a run of Star Wars, 3-4 copies each of damn near ever issue from #4 to #107... all the 42s are gone. Same thing with Spectacular Spider-man (all the 64s gone), ASM... all the 265s gone. It was nerve wracking! But I love it
  20. Picked these up from a local thrift sore. $2 each. Highlights: 10 NM copies of X-Men 137, 3 Moon Knight #1, Marvel Spotlight 1, 6-10, two copies of Marvel Team-Up 95, DC Comics presents 26, a bunch of Swamp Thing... and more! There were runs of books with the keys missing, so someone got there before me
