  1. Nick Duda with Monstah Comics. He's a wizard!
  2. I bought this dirt cheap as an old label CGC 3.0. Had it pressed and got this. Part of me feels it was slightly overgraded, but I can live with it
  3. Incredible Hulk #180 - CGC 7.5 - OW/W pages Edit: Book does not appear it was pressed before slabbing. Added a few extra pics to show. $320 - SOLD

  6. Considering this exact picture is posted in a horrendously overpriced listing on Ebay, I'm gonna go ahead and call scam. http://www.ebay.com/itm/322523749248?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  7. If I ever came into possession of a CVA book, I'd take the label off. That sucker would be Goo Goned so fast...
  8. This feels like a practical joke. I started the hunt for a 4.0 in February when prices were around $17k (or somewhere around there, who knows anymore). In less than three months, it's basically doubled. I have a 1.0. Glad I got it when I did. I was hoping to get a better lookingcopy because mine is very dark. Boo!
  9. Definitely don't vouch for him. Big time overgrader, IMO.
  10. Looks about on par with other chipped AF15s in the range. At least to me anyway. I am familiar with this seller though. Definitely an overgrader, but can't fault him for the grade CGC gave his book..
  11. Updated my contribution. 28 days for Value and Economy submissions with no pre-screen or fast track. Not too shabby. I'm sure the Con season will see a bit of a slow down, but overall they're pumping these things out much faster than last year. The grades however... seem very inconsistent. Much moreso than in the past.
  12. You quoted his entire post twice, yet somehow missed this important point: "I don't really care about future value of the issue. I can't imagine being in financial straights again and needed to sell. So it will just sit on my wall for the rest of my life to remember that moment." He didn't come here for investment advice. He didn't mention anything about speculation. In fact, his post doesn't ask for advice at all. His post suggests he came here for confirmation that purchasing an AF15 was a wise choice given his parameters. Which it is. There has been a lot of discussion among experts (and... others) in the field within this very thread for over two months now on this very subject. If you want to give actual useful financial and investment advice to someone in this thread, you quoted the wrong person.
  13. Definitely a slow down compared to what people were posting a month ago. I have Economy and Value submissions still sitting at verified since 4/5. If they are working on books from the 12th, then mine were missed or they were referring to a specific tier.
  14. I certainly can't... and I've been @^$#ing looking
  15. All I know is that I'm feeling a bit disheartened. I have awful timing. I starting hunting a 4.0 AF15 about two months ago, before this current price spike. I missed the last 4.0 Ebay auction as the underbidder by just a couple hundred bucks (could've been more, who knows what the winning bidder bid). So, I look to ComicConnect and start to think the sky is falling at $30.5k. I've found a couple of other copies locally, but no one wants to sell because they think a 4.0 is now worth $30k. A 30% jump in value in a matter of weeks. I'm pissed. If the values hold, I'll understand it. I'll get it, but I won't like it. I'll have to start searching for a 3.0 range copy now... for what I was expecting to pay for a 4.0 only 6-8 weeks ago. Hell...
