    I also thought Sam’s reaction to his father and brothers death was more than I would have expected. I suppose you cant expect him to say “Oh well they were traitors, sh** happens” but I didn’t think it would cause him to question Dany as a queen. She did the right thing. She offered them mercy and didn’t just execute them out right. I wonder what Sam would have done had he been there. But obviously from previous episodes you can tell his father is a real jerk and practically disowned Sam. Move on.

    Really enjoyed the episode. Did anyone else laugh at the moments we’d see Bran watching someone? Loved how it ended. A smart homage to end of season 1 episode 1. There’s a few things that could happen by the end of the show that would really disappoint me...but after seeing this I feel more trust in D&D that whatever happens will be the best way...

    Finally, here’s my pick ups for some good reading Venom by Rick Remender Vol 1 TPB, Batman by Doug Moench and Kelley Jones Hardcover Vol 1, Gotham Central Omnibus. All half off cover price. Love digging through the 50% off trades boxes.

    Modern subs: Who doesn’t love this cover? The Crossed Horrific Homage variants are awesome. Hope to get a couple more graded eventually. It would be nice to have a 9.8 but I think the 9.6 suits it, since it matches the highest graded copies of the original. Of course had to get this Dell Otto beauty the slab treatment. The first variants I started collecting were True Blood’s. Huge fan of the show so hunting all those was fun. I’d like to create a registry set. I have every regular issue and just about every variant. Most are easy 9.8’s considering that thicker paper stock for the covers.

    On Site Subs: I purchased Batman 237 from fellow Boardie @Larryw7 who graded it at 8.5 Detective 395 was an eBay purchase and the seller graded it at 7.5. I agreed and looks like CGC does too.

    @Drbearsec I agree it was anything but smooth. But it didn’t surprise me. Of course we want it to be faster and more efficient but it’s one of the most popular things at the show. I was in line right when the show opened, waited 20 to sign up for the virtual line that estimated an hour and a half wait but it was over to hours. I only submitted 5 books though. Personally I kinda roll my eyes at dudes bringing short boxes and more to submit. Not sure if there’s a limit to on site but there should be. There’s hundreds of people who want to do this so it’s better for everyone to keep it simple. 20 books. Unless you’re just dropping off to have them mailed back to you. Not sure what they could do to improve besides more staff maybe. The staff were friendly despite the chaos and constant annoyed customers. Yes waiting in line sucks but I think we all should expect it by now as part f the show. It’s probably also why they only do this twice a year.
