Can we get a better look into this officially queened state of mind for more than 5 minutes and then stab her? -Tyrion tells Jon to make the choice now, as in kill her now (?), and be the savior (and obviously new king) of Westeros. Fast forward and Tyrion (and the Starks?!?) make no mention of Jon’s true heritage? Wasn’t this plot “kind of a big deal” the whole show? No, The unsullied are obviously too scary to fight with so off you go Jon, to your “true” home I guess. Glad you petted Ghost but that didn’t save your story IMO. -Tyrion arranges chairs. The council pulls them out to sit down and apparently this is hilarious. I don’t hate that Bran ended up as King. But the war against the Night King needed more episodes, Dany’s state of mind and perhaps eventual madness needed more episides, Bran becoming and ruling as King needed more episodes, if only just one. Not even any real twists at the end. Serious disappointment and having my annual series re watch will really lose its flavor. No way will I support their Star Wars flicks.

Ok, you’re right, we might just disagree. Batman is my all time favorite character and I have been anticipating this announcement for a long time. As for “deserving better” I would have needed to be in that casting room and saw everyone’s audition to really have an informed perspective on which actor deserves the role the most. To me, the best Batman was already cast, which was Michael Keaton. So I’m not looking for anyone to be the best, I guess. Just something new. Of all the rumors I’ve seen nothing has really turned me off. Perhaps I’m just easier to please in this category. And I’m not a hater.

They’re doing my Queen dirty and I don’t like it. I did see it coming but they are rushing it way too much. The first half of the episode was mucho excite then she “goes bad” and I wished Dave and Dan would appear so I could scream at them. This season needed a couple more episodes. We'll see how it goes.

I hate it when guys harsh on slabbed books “because you can’t read them” therefore you don’t read and aren’t appreciating comics the right way. I slab my favorite books/covers for fun and also own either the Omnibus or paperback for reading. Some guys need to get over it.

No not “seriously” considering it. Was mildly for a moment because I was upset. But I know that’s not right.

So I’m a little bit upset and thought I’d post to see if anyone else had similar experiences and if anyone has advice for me. I’m new to commissions, and a couple weeks ago I commissioned an artist to do an 11x17 Full color/BG the whole she bang. $250. Before this I had only spent $75 on a commission so this is my first relatively expensive request. I love this artists’ work, and was very excited to ask for my own piece. Within a couple days the artist showed me two separate outlines for the piece and i was able to choose which one I liked best to be finished. When I saw the outlines I was a little underwhelmed, but figured since it’s not done it could still turn out great. It’s not that the outlines seemed effortless or ugly, they just didn’t click with me. But as I said, I wanted to give it chance. Couple weeks go by and I noticed the artist post what looks to be an almost done piece on Facebook. When I saw it I just didn’t like it all. I really wanted to. Really. And I’m mad at myself for not liking it. But it’s not clicking with me. Especially for $250 bucks. I can afford the piece, sure, but I don’t want to pay that much for something I don’t like, obviously. The artist didn’t take any $ up front so I haven’t paid anything. I also have only dealt with the artists representative, not the artist himself. If I had paid up front, I guess I’d have to take the L on that one, but since I haven’t...how to proceed? Of course I feel horrible that an artist spent so much time on the piece for me. But I can’t give that much for something I don’t like. Have you guys ever gotten a piece you didn’t like? That cost a lot? Did you pay up anyway? Should I be honest with the representative? I hate to be the guy that just doesn’t respond at all. It just sucks that I’ve been so excited and then I see it and get disappointed. Maybe commissions aren’t for me.

I always read for an hour before bed. Usually just trades/hardcovers since that’s the “smart” way to read moderns.

WALKING DEAD #191

Episode 2 was great. No complaints from me...I’m enjoying the pacing of the season so far. I almost feel like I’ll need a breathing mask to get through the next episodes. My one prediction for episode 3: Jaime dies.
