  1. Not too sure on that...last year was the first time I went all 3 days, really only because of submissions, since I remember reading that books probably wouldn’t be ready until Sunday. Without hearing from someone who has successfully submitted as late as Saturday, I’d say that could be too late. If you have your heart set on on site subbing, my best advice is to get there Friday. I believe there’s some threads from last year on the subject that might give more insight. Google CGC on site submissions and it’ll come up. Plus, with so much to see (depending on your interests) Saturday isn’t enough time to really enjoy the show IMO. I’m glad I switched to 3 days.
  2. From what I experienced last year, they open up submission forms a few weeks ahead of the show. So when you go the main site and go the the submit comics page a new selection appears for On Site subs. You’ll fill out the form for each book and print it out. Take it with you to the show with your books and head to the CGC booth right away. Last year I had trouble arriving on time and was met with a huuuuge line. Over an hour wait. So be prepared for that if you’re not there early. Lots of people submit. Got my books done by the end of the show on Sunday. Great service, but again it is a long wait in line. Good luck, have fun!
  3. I stood on the sidelines for this thread to save for C2e2 but it was fun to watch, nice work October! Enjoy your books peoples.
  4. 8% bucks at a $25 minimum. Perhaps percent off coupons are going to be few and far between.
  5. Was watching this one. Guess it jumped $1,000 over the past couple hours 😆 I thought it was too much after it went past a thou. Someone really wanted it.
  6. These posts would do better in the “this week in your collection” thread
  7. I wish there were more HC/Omni sales around here. But besides the Bay the Omnibus collectors Facebook group is good spot. Can’t sell anything for more than cover price. It’s a private group but most newbies are accepted in a couple days.
  8. If you’re not wanting to read Moderns because of the 3.99+ price tag .... consider switching to trade paper backs and hardcovers. Much cheaper. Much nicer. I enjoy collecting a select few categories of vintage (pre-80’s IMO) comics for the cover appeal mostly and the overall classic aspect of owning them. But when it comes to reading in any time frame it’s collected editions. Sorry to hear old school comic lovers haven’t found all the completely awesome works out there right now. Yes most of them are independent but there are some winners at the big two. Naturally opinions will matter. But comics as an art form are not dead and there’s plenty of talent out there.
  9. Two new Omnibus for me this week Already read American Vampire, awesome story. Beautiful Omnibus edition here. Hope there’s more to come as has been hinted by Snyder. Never read any Surfer! But this one caught my attention.
  10. After looking at Bulletproof’s Instagram page, I found that the date for Pre order is Feb 14th at Noon EST.
  11. Today is the last day to order your badge to have it mailed to you and avoid the will call line. Always nice to have your badge ready to go but in my experience the will call line moves pretty quick. (I suppose it depends what time you arrive, I’m usually there within the hour of opening.) Im so impressed with the line up of artists. Might spend most of my time in artist alley!
  12. I’m reading the Omnibus right now. I’d agree that the story doesn’t really flow well until Wolfman comes in. I’m 18 issues in and it’s not bad. 70’s comics can be a bit of a chore to read sometimes (for me anyways) and this one has been going okay. I think the conflicts and dialogue can be somewhat repetitive. Dracula has some corny lines sometimes but I enjoy chuckling at it. Art is great, obviously. And it’s cool to read the origins of Blade.
  13. Not sure about the one prior, but the Batman will be available via Bulletproof Comics. Preorder date has not been released yet. It will be posted here.
  14. Modern horror comics that stand out to me are Crossed by Garth Ennis, (very extreme) Harrow County by Cullen Bunn, BPRD (Plague of Frogs is my most recommended story arc) by Mike Mignola and Ice Cream Man by Maxwell Prince.
