I think you're thinking of me. Yes, the prices I had listed for these Omnibuses were high, but I based them on recent Ebay sales.

    I sold a copy of Black Knight/Yellow Claw Masterworks for $127.50. I sold Spider-Man Omnibus Vol. 1 for #127.50 and Spider-Man Omnibus #2 for $230. I sold Golden Age Superman Omnibus Vol. 1 for $90. I sold Ultimate Spider-Man Hardcovers (11 total) for $500. I sold X-Men Omnibus Vol. 1 for $460 and X-Men Omnibus Vol. 2 for $190. I sold Fantastic Four Omnibus Vol. 2 for $180; I sold Fantastic Four Omnibus Volume 1 for $40 (which was a BIG mistake). I sold a dozen Marvel Masterworks for $550. I also sold Futurama Comics #1 - #80 for $200, and Bart Simpson's Treehouse of Horror comics #1 - #21 for $180.

If you look at these sales, I think that you would agree that the prices I listed here on the boards were NOT out of line.

I remember your thread and I promise I’m not referring to you.

  2. Someone was selling a couple Omnibus’ on the boards recently and IMO they were overpriced because I know reprints are coming and I didn’t want someone to pay double cover price because they are seemingly Out of Print to the less knowledgeable collector. I really had to hold back to not “threadkrap” but I figured it’s up to the buyer to do their own research if they are interested.

Heads up though, Marvel is reprinting a lot of omnibus lately and into next year. Do your research before paying more than cover price.

  3. Hey guys. I have a kind of beat up Gotham Central omnibus for sale. As you can see from the photo it’s definitely not a near mint book. I glued the spine so it’s holding together. But there’s some tears and general scuffing. Complete book.

Since this one is coming up on Out of Print status and, while it was a good read, I don’t see myself reading it again, looking to find it a new home.

Looking to get $40 shipped. I have leftover packing material from Instocktrades so it will be packed securely. Will ship media mail to keep cost low. If you prefer priority please add $8.00. US only. PayPal goods and services. Returns accepted within 3 days of delivery, buyer pays return postage.

First to post Any form of I’ll take it wins and takes dibs over PMs.

I've picked up a couple of "damaged" books from IST and they were as nice as any copy you'd find on a shelf. Some great deals!

I myself have spent the last couple of weeks frantically trying to play catch up on some recently reprinted volumes which are pretty scarce at retail right now, and some other stuff which seems to be drying up. Won't be running out of reading material anytime soon!

A+ picks bud. I bought Shattershot too but gave it to a friend. AXM should be here Monday, very excited to read it.

  5. My modern sub received 3/3 was delivered today. A couple problems... 😤

Some discouraging newty rings on this DCeased slab. I don’t care if there’s a couple small spots but this kills the buzz on a book I was looking forward to displaying.

Next are a few True Bloods. A few years ago I hunted every variant and now I’m slabbing them a bit at a time. I’m a big fan of the show so collecting these has been a lot of fun. I’m a sucker for those photo incentives...

But on this one CGC made a mistake on the label by stating the man in the photo is Sam Trammell, when it is actually Stephen Moyer.
the next slab has Stephen as well and they noted it accurately. So I’m wondering if this is something I should send back or if I just shrug it off as a laugh.

Last, one of my favorites. R.I.P Nelsan Ellis.

This is news to me I've never seen a paperback omnibus but on further research it appears to be common to UK retailers, not many in america here have them.

THE HC 01 is readily available https://www.instocktrades.com/TP/Marvel/IMMORTAL-HULK-HC-VOL-01/APR190949
and HC 02 is scheduled for may release.   https://www.previewsworld.com/Catalog/NOV190959

Basically comes down to if you'd rather spend ~$40 on HC's or ~$30 on paperback with some issues not released yet.

Hellboy by Dark Horse Comics is an example of paperback Omnibus
