29 blue labels, this one is tied for 6th highest.

A 4.5 sold this month for $320, prorates to $462

    Bin is $435.00

These are all nice covers, but this is one of my favorites.

The one time I’m off the Boards and I miss this book! I’ve wanted one for a long time. 😢😢😭😭😭

  2. I just sent back 2 books for reholders and both had a piece on the cover where it was bent over in the slab. Since I was not the original submitter and there is now a time limit, I could not send them back as a mechanical error. However, I did circle ️ the slab with a black marker on both and on the submission form, I wrote mechanical error. They should be finished this week and I’m interested to see if they did as I asked, to unfold the bent piece and if the grade remains the same. Here’s one of them.

  3. Comic Cavalcade #24 CGC 3.5

Here is a truly rare book! There are only 12 copies on the CGC Census. This was the final and fourth appearance of Solomon Grundy’s  Golden Age appearances. The book received a 3.5 due to upper and lower spine splits. From the front and back it presents nicely. If you’re trying to collect all four of Solomon Grundy’s Golden Age appearances, do not pass this up!

    My price is $750

    Crime Suspenstories #1 CGC 5.5

Here’s a book that isn’t offered for sale too often compared to other books in the run. This is a really nice book for the grade and presents well. According to the GPA, the last time a Crime Suspenstories #1 CGC 5.5 had a recorded sale was 22 years ago! 😳

    My price is $1,500.

  5. Solomon Grundy’s fourth and final appearance of the Golden Age. A classic cover by Irwin Hasen, and a book-length battle with the JSA, courtesy of Gardner Fox, Joe Kubert, Irwin Hasen, Martin Nodell, Stan Asch and Paul Reinman. 85 Universals on the census.

Actually, All Star Comics #33 was Solomon Grundy’s third Golden Age appearance. His fourth and final Golden Age appearance was in Comic Cavalcade #24 dated 12/47-1/48.

Awsome group shot David! I love all holiday covers. I believe I have the same group or even a couple more in mostly lower raw copies. Reminds me to load up my Dell comic rack with Christmas comics for the holidays…hm

    Thank you 🙏🏻 Bob!🎄🎅🏻:acclaim:

    Superboy #5 CGC 4.5

10 years before the the character Supergirl first appeared in Action Comics #252 in 1959, a Supergirl type character first appeared in Superboy #5 in 1949.
As a collector who tried to complete a graded run of Superboy #1-#20, I can tell you that #5 was the last issue I needed to complete the run. It’s a fairly rare book with only 42 on the CGC Census. As I’m sure many of you can relate to, sometimes when it’s the last book you need to complete a run, you’re willing to overpay just to complete your collection. This is what happened to me when I won this from a Clink auction in 2020. I wanted it and so did someone else.
My asking price of $750 is less than the GPA and whole lot less than I paid for it 2020.
