  1. Marvel/Star Silver Hawks #1 https://deadline.com/2021/07/silverhawks-80s-tv-show-animated-nacelle-1234789025/
  2. Google Earth that address. Man, check out those bars on those windows. Protect those comics! Also, Rm 5 is his mother's basement.
  3. Interesting that only a handful of characters on those cups have yet to appear in the MCU. I think this was the vision board that Marvel used to come up with which characters to use on the big screen.
  4. Murphy's Law: Many months from now, how many here will forget that they've got books in the pipeline and only to be shipped back to them just as they head out on vacation or worse, move to a new address?
  5. As you can see these are the regular subs without "FT" and "EX" written all over them.
  6. Must be a noob or plain old dumb@$$ to not know which Sandman #1 is which. I worry that if it's true that the comic collectible market has boomed these past 12-18 months due to new entrants to the hobby, then this kind of ignorant purchases and subsequent headaches to sellers is just the beginning.
  7. Just saying the time I have left on this rock may not be enough to see all the other A-list Marvel characters in the MCU. The first Iron Man came out 13 years ago and we got a lot of movies since then but Marvel/Disney has yet to scratch beyond the surface of their arsenal of stories and characters. I'm impatient I guess. As a kid, waiting a month for the next issue to come out on the spinner rack was bearable, but knowing now what the MCU can be and the time it will take to tell all those stories is mind-boggling. Characters on paper never age or die (well, sometimes) but actors on the other hand...
  8. Are these items being bought by deadbeat buyers hot items? If so, I wonder if they think that by buying and not paying that they're somehow manipulating the market in terms of "recent sales" on eBay? I wish eBay could label past unpaid sales as "unpaid" or something like that in the recent sales listings or at least remove them (not sure if they do).
  9. Hawkeye #1 (2016...although it was released on February 2017 per MCS) is back on the radar. Tons of raws sold today. A few 9.8's of cover A are in the mid/upper $200s now.
  10. Would leaving Action #1 reprints count? Wouldn't they then become first prints?
  11. Ask him if he'd ask the same to an Amazon seller.
  12. You're right about that bindery tear issue. I totally forgot how thick that book was.
  13. On regular non-press slow-boat submissions, does anyone know if there's any rhyme or reason as to when books begin to get graded once your credit card is charged?
  14. Cover A or variant? I recall that there were several variants so I just went onto mycomicshop and holy $#!T there's like 50+ variants of issue #1. I'm waiting for CGC to denote on the label that this issue is her cameo and crossing my fingers too on the live-action. Anyone know what's Amazon's track record on streaming shows (flops vs hits)?
  15. vnuvnu-xrtx9acq FYI, eBay didn't recognize the all uppercase when I cut and pasted to my block list.
  16. Congrats on the grades! Slow boat or fast track?
  17. I gave those DC/CW TV shows a shot when they first came out a few years back. It was intriguing at first to see how they'd be inline with the actual comic books or the new fresh takes on them. Drama, humor & action sprinkled about evenly. But over the years the character development and stories started to veer off into the realm of a "Halmark" made-for-TV show. Too much useless DRAMA (read: crying characters and their hurt feelings)! They became soap operas. I have no idea if they've gotten better or back to the roots of their source material. Speaking of roots, Swamp Thing was nice. Of course they cancelled it.
  18. eBay wants sellers to act like Amazon (as if we can take the financial hit on bad buyers) but buyers treat us like K-Mart layaways. Funny how Amazon and eBay started about the same time in the 90's. Let's see which one lasts another 25 years.
  19. Star Wars Mara Jade By the Emperor's Hand #1 starting to move with news Brie Larson playing Luke Skywalker's wife. Although I think her first appearance in comics is in Heir to the Empire #1. Disney sure is starting to re-use their actors in different platforms & franchises (Disney, Disney+, ABC, Marvel, Star Wars, etc). https://www.insider.com/star-wars-actors-in-marvel-movies-2020-5
  20. How's TFAW's shipping? Any problems with damaged books or condition less than expected? I've never ordered from them.
  21. I just unsubscribed all the email alerts for my saved searches for the time being. My inbox has been flooded with useless eBay search results.
  22. I've been looking for a high grade raw copy since you guys mentioned this comic last month and have put it on my want list on Mycomicshop. I think MCS only had a FN or VG raws lately. So I was excited to see an alert pop up today but its for a CGC 9.6 If anyone's interested in a graded copy (and probably get it for less than $500). https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?TID=533191
