  1. LOL! I forgot that one! They even got their own book.
  2. CGC wouldn't be able to prove that a book was flat due to a heat press or a good ol' stack of books that had been sitting on books for years. If there's damage to a book, they'll deduct for sure but they can't say in the grader notes that it was due to being a press job.
  3. Speaking of copper, I never would have imagined in the early days of the MCU that Disney+ would pull ideas and characters from the West Coast Avengers books: #4 Master of Pandemonium #61 Immortus, Nexus #62 Time Keepers #45 White Vision #94 James Rhodes named as War Machine (I probably missed others)
  4. Brisk sales on Spider-Man India #1 as well as the set of all 4 issues. Anticipation of Pavitr Prabhakar to appear in the next installment of the Spider-Verse movie.
  5. You should tell him USPS Priority is not guaranteed to deliver in the 2-3 days they say, only USPS Priority Express. Hopefully it will scanned as "delivered" and you're off the hook.
  6. Wonder if Paul Bettany's MCU contract is up after the show. Some actors don't want to be typcasted if they stay in a role too long unless of course the $$$ is too good to pass up.
  7. Avengers 45 seeing some uptick in daily sales on eBay. Any thoughts on whether this will hold or fizzle once Wandavision is over?
  8. Oh yeah, eBay gives the buyer a couple of choices that they can click on as "reasons" for the return. This is a screenshot from the return:
  9. At least it wasn't a return for the same reason. I had a buyer who returned an item the moment he received it because in his words "found one cheaper". He paid for the return and glad the item came back undamaged but I think I lost some PayPal fee when all said and done. The world of feeBay...
  10. A lot of these recent modern 9.8's are breaking records, but anything 9.6 or below haven't caught up yet for the most part. Whatever happened to "A rising tide lifts all boats"? I got some 9.6's that need to take off!
  11. A bit off topic but is it just me or were people really lanky back in the 70's and 80's?
  12. Yes, that is what I hope for too that the graders do not know how long the books have been there. I was just concerned that if they knew it was fast tracked, then they'd maybe rush into the grading process. Thanks all!
  13. To Fast Track or To Not Fast Track? That is the question... A non scientific question though, but has anyone experienced better or worse grades when fast tracking books compared to slow track? Since CGC has been around many years now, I'd figured someone out there has done both and maybe has some anecdotal experience. Thanks!
  14. Almost six years since the first post of this thread. Hindsight is 20/20 but man, to have a crystal ball back then. The variant was going for $8 back then? Never got a variant and sold my regular copy when it hit $10 that same year...
  15. Ebay recent sales for that card is bouncing all over the place between $20 to $75. If you look at what category that they are listed under, the cards are selling evenly whether out of the bag under "Collectibles > Non-Sport Trading Cards > Trading Card Singles" versus sealed in the X-Force #1 under "Collectibles > Comics". Maybe just a tad bit more as single cards due to possibly card collectors not aware of the polybagged comics. If you're selling, singles may be the way; cheaper to send out and can pass the savings to the buyer.
  16. Might be time to crack that open and send it in to CGC. That Mycomicshop CGC 9.8 is too rich for my blood now. I'll have to look for my raw copy if I still have it. Probably not in the best condition though.
  17. Not sure about anniversaries per se, but usually the nostalgic zone for collectors hits around the 25/30th anniversaries of most collectibles whether it be toys, video games, cards, comics, etc. I'm still waiting and hoping for the live-action flicks for Robotech, Thundercats, Voltron and Akira!
  18. I can't wait for Wildcats Covert Action Teams #1 to explode. Next year would be its 30th anniversary. Let's put our GME stock gains into 90's comics! I say this sarcastically (but who knows these days).
  19. Yes, cover C has it, but the gatefold in addition to the pinup has a "Jim Lee sketchbook" page that shows Omega Red too.
  20. Never know...at some point in the (distant) future Disney will have to scrape the bottom of the barrel. I can see Disney+ as a place to experiment some of their properties.
  21. Yes, the pinup with Omega Red is in cover C (Cyclops/Wolvie) and also in the deluxe gatefold cover version. Not sure why but a CGC 9.8 regular cover C goes for a tiny bit more than a CGC 9.8 deluxe gatefold version which has all the pinups. There's a cover C now on Mycomicshop's auction that's hitting $100. With the recent X-Force #1/Deadpool card craze, are the 90's coming back!?! https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?ItemID=52766007
  22. What did Forrest Gump say? Oh yeah, "Selling on Feebay is like a box of chocolates. You never know who you're gonna get." There's always that one that you just want to chuck across the room and then move on to the next.
  23. Or you could cut the cards out yourself from an uncut sheet like this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/MARVEL-COMICS-X-MEN-X-FORCE-DEADPOOL-2ND-APPEARANCE-UNCUT-TRADING-CARD-SHEET1992-/283312610508?hash=item41f6bf5ccc%3Ag%3AAhsAAOSwP8db9cHR&nma=true&si=ZpoAuspQZWiyMliCIgef8iMtlBA%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
