  1. I guess when Conan #23 & #24 are getting out of reach, Red Sonja #1 (1977) her first series, is also moving on eBay.
  2. I recall back in 2014 (7 years to the month) that some 145 million eBay records were hacked. https://www.cnbc.com/2014/05/22/hackers-raid-ebay-in-historic-breach-access-145-mln-records.html No company is 100% secure (no matter what they say) so considering eBay' MP is linked to a checking account makes me wonder if such an event occurred again, would the fallout be worse? On another note, PayPal users and I guess many online services do have people's checking accounts linked to them such as auto bill pay for utilities, cable, etc. So maybe this is just how the world is now and will be.
  3. Try mycomicshop.com. They're great- they'll scan and list your books on their sight as auction or consignment whatever you prefer. Consignments get also listed on their eBay store for free so you get more eyeballs on them.
  4. Sandman #25 (1st Deadboy Detectives) https://www.cbr.com/doom-patrol-season-3-dead-boy-detectives-sandman/
  5. I've bought from Newkadia and they use media mail with tracking without any problems. Their cardboard mailer even has their "superhero mascot" on it so I'd think the USPS would've figured out what's inside by now. https://www.newkadia.com/?Comic_pag=Prime
  6. To use a white suit & mask at some point in the Disney+ show seems plausible. I can only think of 2 caped MCU characters, Vision and Dr. Strange. Both can fly. A caped Moon Knight seems cumbersome. Even Ghost the villain in the Ant-Man movie did not have the cape-like accessory from the original Iron Man comics. Maybe we'll see an evolution of Moon Knight caped first then onto the suit. Either way the dry cleaning bill is gonna be high for any kind of white suit.
  7. What a difference a few days make. Secret Avengers #19 was $10-$15 and below last Saturday. Now...+$30 https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l2632&_nkw=secret+avengers+19&_sacat=63&LH_TitleDesc=0&_osacat=900&_odkw=moon+knight+1&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1
  8. Alright everyone, let's have Carl Douglas' Kung Fu Fighting song stuck in our heads for the rest of the day because you know, everybody was kung fu fighting, those cats were fast as lightning....
  9. Speaking of rings, the ten rings in this movie are actual physical ten rings, right? In the 2018 Ironheart series, Riri Williams had to deal with a secret organization called the Ten Rings. I'm sure they're not related at all, but kinda strange that Marvel would use the same phrase. Does anyone know if there was a ten rings storyline in the 1970's Master of Kung Fu series?
  10. Is there a chart for the new dealer changes similar to the one for regular memberships that they've posted?
  11. Well, I have been back-charged before (not sure if that's the correct word) for a submission's return shipment cost that I had already paid for/received back months prior. It was added to a subsequent submission invoice. They say FedEx had raised the rate between the time they received my order and shipping them back out to me. It was only few bucks then, but still...
  12. If I upgrade to Elite today, will I theoretically get the 15% discount until April 2022?
  13. But does the "old pricing" also include return shipping costs as those will be going up? For example, if I paid $90 for FedEx overnight return shipping on a submission today but it obviously won't get back to me by April 28th, will I be charged the new $150 shipping cost down the line?
  14. So is Secret Avengers #19 just about his "new suit" as Mr. Knight? It was published in 2012. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Secret-Avengers-19-1st-App-Mr-Knight-Moon-Knight-New-Costume-/203284919434?hash=item2f54b9b48a%3Ag%3ApJsAAOSwc4xgMYSu&nma=true&si=LzI8aFCftnOektFMHOtZ7sB3C0o%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  15. Grading/Quality Control 4/9/21 Anyone know if CGC's open on Saturdays? If so, yours could be "finalized" tomorrow and out the door and be in your hands pretty quick!
  16. IF Venom 3 does crash just as hard as Cates' Thor books it'll be a lesson learned on modern spec'ing. Enjoy the ride while it lasts, enjoy the stories, make some $ along the way, keep some for PCs if you like, and jump off the roller coaster and hop onto another Cates book. Rinse and repeat.
  17. Wow...I can't think of another character who's 1st app/cameo/name/appearance in shadow/hand appearance/etc is so spread out across multiple titles.
  18. Filming for the Green Lantern HBO series starts filming early next month. Thoughts on Justice League 50? Some eBay sellers are claiming its 1st Jessica Cruz, but CGC does not label it as such. There's a HTF 2nd print as well.
  19. We're also assuming this is all US buyers. There's plenty of folks outside of the US who have now been exposed to the MCU over the past 15+ years and are embracing Americana that is comics. As mentioned by someone earlier, they may not necessarily have the depth of knowledge that most seasoned collectors have. And this may also apply to the newbies crossing over from trading/sports cards.
  20. Paying taxes is one thing, being fairly taxed is another. I'd like to know the think tanks' thought process behind lowering the threshold to $600 from $20k (seems drastic). Could it be that the year-long pandemic brought record unemployment and with that more folks flocked to sites like eBay, craigslist, etsy, etc to make a few extra dollars from stuff in there attic or garage? Obviously in-person garage sales aren't popular (maybe in a few states). Now, maybe the government realized this and did the math. But taxing those you're trying to help as a way to possibly pay for some of this bill doesn't make sense. But...in the end, someone or somehow this bill has to be repaid.
  21. I wonder if sellers on eBay's international branches can chime into this convo. I'd like to hear if they've been already paying their country's taxes or are in the process of going the same route or altogether exempt.
  22. So, I guess some collector who bought that West Coast Avengers 45 off the rack when he was 10 years old for cover price back in 1989 is gonna have to find that 7-11 store receipt if he sells it this year and has to file taxes on it.
  23. I realize Vampirella started way back in the late 60's, but film and TV rights to Dynamite's Vampirella were just optioned. Soooo, I guess that makes it modern? https://comicbook.com/movies/news/vampirella-film-and-tv-rights-optioned/
