  1. Just ***WOW*** Let us know when the “Cracking It Out” party is taking place! I’ll bring the beer.
  2. Fantastic colors! Edgar picked himself a nice neon copy of this issue.
  3. This comment in the eBay listing doesn’t exactly inspire confidence: Estimated within 15-27 business days This item has an extended handling time and a delivery estimate greater than 14 business days.
  4. Recent arrivals: Foxes, fishes, cats, and the usual GA mayhem.
  5. Lou Fine at his finest! Great looking copy + ow/w! Are the green marks on the spaceship just oversaturated inks?
  6. Very nice! Just a simple trip to the local comic shop for this one?
  7. Thanks RM! Could you add names to those faces? I recognize the Tall Texan, but who are all the others?
  8. And Ladies and Gentlemen, in the other corner, weighing in at 1.0:
  9. Steve, whenever you're in the mood to sell, I'm your guy!
  10. Good news: they're selling those hats at Target! And for an extra $0.99, you get a replica Sheena arm bracelet (for either left or right arm... your choice)!
  11. Nice! A lot going on with that there cover!
  12. Hm. A visit to that store might help the underpants wetting problem...
  13. Though one potential awkward implication is that no one besides us boardies has any interest in these books, in which case we’re looking at a major hurt when it comes time to sell our 14’s and 15’s in The Future...
  14. Great book! Fine's cover is simply awesome, and undoubtedly succeeded in prying 10 cents from many a kid's pocket. In contrast, here is the first splash page of the first issue of Jungle Comics, a bit of an artistic letdown compared to the cover (apologies to all those Alex Boon/Alex Blum fans out there).
  15. Thanks Jared. So... where’s the 7.5 copy?????
  16. Here's my entry to the club. BTW, now that I'm in the club, when do I get my free hat pin with Buzz Crandall's mug on it? And my free Gale Allen button? If necessary, I'll clip off the coupons on my 14 and 15 to cover postage.
  17. Thanks for posting those stats, Jared! I wonder if the lower numbers are really due to "limited distribution" issues for both 14 and 15, or if it's just the vagaries of chance, or, maybe the kids just weren't that into these covers? Looks like the next lowest in the census (Universal copies) is issue #24, which would go along with Gerber's scarcity rating of "7" (though he blew it on issue #14, with a rating of "4") Title Planet Comics Issue No. 24 Issue Date 5/43 Year 1943 Publisher Fiction House Country Art Comments Dan Zolnerowich cover, Graham Ingels, Lee Elias, Joe Doolin,, George Tuska and George Appel art Country/Variant - Grade Universal Qualified Signature Series Restored See Detail Total Mint 10.0 0 0 0 0 0 Mint 9.9 0 0 0 0 0 Near Mint/Mint 9.8 0 0 0 0 0 Near Mint + 9.6 1 0 0 0 1 Near Mint 9.4 0 0 0 0 0 Near Mint - 9.2 2 0 0 0 2 Very Fine/Near Mint 9.0 1 0 0 0 1 Very Fine + 8.5 0 0 0 0 0 Very Fine 8.0 3 0 0 0 3 Very Fine - 7.5 1 0 0 0 1 Fine/Very Fine 7.0 1 0 0 0 1 Fine + 6.5 2 0 0 0 2 Fine 6.0 1 0 0 0 1 Fine - 5.5 3 0 0 0 3 Very Good/Fine 5.0 0 1 0 0 1 Very Good + 4.5 0 0 0 0 0 Very Good 4.0 1 0 0 0 1 Very Good - 3.5 1 0 0 0 1 Good/Very Good 3.0 0 0 0 1 1 Good + 2.5 1 0 0 0 1 Good 2.0 1 0 0 0 1 Good - 1.8 1 0 0 0 1 Fair/Good 1.5 0 0 0 0 0 Fair 1.0 0 0 0 0 0 Poor 0.5 0 0 0 0 0 Total 20 1 0 1 22
