This came this morning (3rd and final attempt to deliver, kept missing the FedEx guy lol).
Sixteen signatures. I originally sent it away to get autographed by Stan Lee - that's how long ago I sent it away lol.
Unfortunately, that didn't happen.... so I went a different direction with it. It even managed to stay 9.8.
Thanks go out to the people at Desert Wind.

My goal would be to sell every last comic and exit the hobby
Been fun, but time to move on
I might have to get back with you again before it's all gone lol.
(Can't say enough good things about this gentleman as a seller btw)

Some great issues there @JoshuaM!!
Thank you. Thought it was a fun mix of books.
Took a long time choosing, he has stacks on stacks of books to sift through. Part of the fun of it, I guess....

I went to Motor City on Friday.
I'm not really a Convention guy, so I really don't have a point of reference . Think I was at Motor City about 20 years ago, and that's it.
$30 for one day, $10 to park. Additional fees for anything involving the celebrities.
Seemed like a fair mix of things to see. Graded books, some guys had decent key ungraded, and plenty of lower grade stuff too. Can't say I recall being blown away by any particular books, but I was also kind of rushed as I arrived later than I would have liked.
Saw some of the Walking Dead stars, and Neve Campbell.
I think Henry Winkler may have waved at me. I was kind of staring trying to figure out if the old guy sitting there was The Fonz - then he waved - which made me realize I was in fact staring at him.
After reading the previous posts, I probably would have liked to have seen the big dealers there, but I had a good time. I'd return next year.

I appreciate the input folks. Not a key book, but one I'd submit if I thought it could be corrected (it's an Amazing Spiderman book, modern).
I normally just buy them already slabbed, but this was one I didn't have yet in my run (graded, I mean).

I stopped into a shop near me recently, and he told me he stopped carrying new comics.... just dealing in older books (the shop does other things too, anime, etc).
Just seemed odd, with at least 3 other shops in town, seems like he'd definitely drive some folks away....

Here's my problem with these new labels and it's something that I just learned a month ago.
The problem is that these are limited editions. If you pay the fee for the custom label and down the road you need to reholder it you won't get the new label again even though you paid for it. Had a customer who paid for the Stan Lee label a few years back and they sent in a book to get cracked out and have a signature added. Well since CGC no longer offers the Stan Lee label they got the book back without the Stan label and they were pissed because no one ever told them the full details on these labels that if they were to ever go our of print you wouldn't be able to get the label again.
Lets say you go to sell a book down the road and it has the customer Spider-Man label and the slab gets damaged in shipping...you can't get the SM label. Or you have this as a yellow label and eventually want to crack the slab to add someone else.
If you pay for a custom label you should ALWAYS have that label going forward on that book even if no new books can get that label.
Completely agree.
