Love Bunky books. Hopefully some silver slabs come sunday?

Thanks for the comments, guys. Correct, there is a light non-color breaking crease in the middle of the book (book is not pressed). The very top/middle of the book is a color breaking crease, luckily not a tear. Majority of the front cover wear appears to be the very bottom left corner.

I'd say your friend is fine and you can always post a picture on the forum first to make sure the grade is somewhat in line. I can see them changing a grade on a grossly incorrectly graded book, but say, 1-2 grades off? Unlikely.

How do you think the values would change if the covers from AF15 and ASM1 were swapped? The cover on AF15 can't be topped, and I think ASM1's is one of the worst early Spidey covers.
Perhaps a little, but the significance of the books would keep the vast amount of the value as it is today, IMO.

Perfect 5.0...would take some flaws on the BC any day. Esp ones that arent missing pieces, etc.

Stan Lee and Spiderman go hand in hand for me, so AF15.

A passing of an icon. RIP.

Just completed a deal with JF. He was a pleasure to deal with, shipped very quickly, and the packaging was very secure!

Sorry to hear about the storm impact, Rick. Glad your family is OK.

Now, before we start, let me clarify by 'it's peers". As we all know, ASM1 isn't the first appearance of Spidey, or really the first appearance of anything other than his first series. However, I was thinking this morning about how the book is similar to say, Iron Man #1, etc., in that it may have a origin retold or something, but other than kicking off the series and being a "#1", there's not really something that would classify it as a major key per se. However, the value says otherwise. Any thoughts?

Not exactly a cover swipe per se, but if ASM 252 is on here, then the ASM700 Dikto variant is my favorite swipe!

All I know is, I have some keeper copies that I have held onto, but sold a 5.5, 2 (7.0s), and a 8.0 which I wish I had not! I'm sure many of us are saying the same thing. Alas.

Literally off by fifty bucks on two offers for both books. To be fair, I'll offer the same here, $1,350 check, free shipping for both (~ $200 under GPA 90 and last sales), firm. Countdown begins...closes tonight, thanks!

Prices updated in original post. Final change, will consider this thread closed by end of day Friday, 7/27 EST. Thanks!

I'd take a razor sharp right edge vs. WP any day.

For clarification, certified mail is different than registered mail?
I have only sent books via registered mail and would hope USPS would take responsibility for it not getting delivered.
