  1. And also lets not forget @mysterio . . . . though I doubt we will see him this year since he is now back in Texas
  2. This is a great little con in Lawrence, KS that myself and @D Stuart have been vendors at.
  3. If you want GA stuff I highly recommend OAF con. Probably has more GA stuff per square foot than any comic con in the U.S.
  4. Ed Robertson had some GA books when I saw him I think at the Vegas show earlier this summer. The only other vendor I know is Dean from Kyrpton Comics out of Omaha. He may have some GA books as well, but not many based on what I have seen of his inventory. I have family in the San Tan Valley and visit them once to twice a year and have hit up pretty much most of the eastern valley comic book shops. If you are not local I recommend checking out Greg's Comics. He hides the good stuff in the back and I have boughten stuff from him several times.
  5. I saw Jimmy and Amanda in Vegas this summer, when Planet was still listed as the same weekend as C2E2, and they had noted they where coming to KC next year. Glad to see if worked out. Claremont has been listed as well.
  6. That really sucks to have those kind of books in the room and indeed a great guest list. Do you feel that part of the problem might be the saturation of shows in Dallas these days?
  7. Sorry for the late response - not sure if you made it. There were hardly any GA books at the show. One vendor had a couple slabbed issues of Comic Calvalcade, but other than nothing really. Saw a couple of nice keys and semi-key books. There was A LOT of discount book boxes that you could have dug in all day. One gentlemen did set up with a nice collection of SA and BA books that belonged to a relative who passed. He had bagged and boarded, price and organized the books and there were several deals to be had if you dug. I know a vendor who bought him out at the end of the show. That said, it was really slow I guess on Sunday . . . . Hope that helps.
  8. Will be there this weekend!!! The only vendor I know for sure that will be there is Eric Meyer with STL Comics. Hoping to set up a commission with Kevin Nowlan and pick up some books.
  9. I had been eye balling that Skyman #3 back at a show back in Tulsa from Kerry - Glad to see it went to a good home!!!
  10. Bart posted a picture of you holding this. I honestly do not think people realize how big it is. Growing up my grandmother would listen to cassette tapes of the Shadow radio programs and so the Shadow always has a special place with me and why I love so much of the pulp stuff. Super jealous!!!!
  11. That is an amazing book!!!!! Gratz on the pick up!!!!
  12. A buddy of mine picked up these two books. Hoping that next year the stars will align better to make it to the show.
  13. I am hoping to come down to this show from KS as last year I simply could not make it . Keith Pollard is awesome and looking forward to seeing him!!!!
  14. I was really disappointed at first of C2E2 being the same dates as Planet. That said, I am going to try and make it to C2E2 and the next week set up at Planet . . . . whirlwind mode activated!!!
  15. Payment plans for your photo op and five seconds to spend with a star - if that is not a first world problem then I do not know what is. Would also be nice if you are going to be a comic con to know what comic creators are going to be there. The fact that none have been announced shows where the emphasis is.
