Akira Toriyama (or Toyotarō) Dragon Ball Artwork?
Comic Art Factory replied to Mr. Machismo's topic in Original Comic Art
in Japan, the publishers usually own the art. And they even rarely exhibit it. Also, there are a lot of fake Toriyama setches around, in Europe and in the US. -
Looking for Quino OA Mafalda...
Comic Art Factory replied to MagnusX's topic in Original Comic Art Marketplace
Quino has never sold any Mafalda original art. And the few people who have Quino sketches ask for very high prices (sometimes a few thousands for something not even interesting) as there is nothing at all available. So an affordable Quino piece simply does not exist. -

Thanks to all of you for your help. Unpublished it is then. And by the way, if you ever need info on european art, french auction houses (and their shipping habits), or question on a trip to France or Belgium, feel free to write me.

No stamp on back

Hi, I'm a collector and a dealer. This page is in a friend's collection, and I was not the previous owner. Personnally, I love Conan pages when John Buscema inked himself.
-
thank you all for your input. It feels like a teamp-up during a TV show.
-
No Dezuniga pencils or inks in any of these 3 issues.

In #194 and 195, she seems to team-up with Zula, which doesn't seem to match the storyline here. and she doesn't wear the chainmail either, as seen is some pictures in this thread . http://classiccomics.org/thread/19/annotated-savage-sword-conan%3Fpage%3D4?page%3D12&page=87

and for the Red Sonja fans, here is a spanish website with all her appearances : https://www.tebeosfera.com/1/Libris/REH/comic/Red/SonjaTebeo.htm

SSOC 192, 194 and 195 were inked by Ernie Chan, so the only possibility remaining is SSOC 190 but the pages I saw online don't match the style here at all. So It could be unpublished.
-
Thanks to all of you. I'm gonna go for unpublished then, as I don't see other SSOC issue with Red Sonja than 45, besides the #190.

Hi I'm trying to ID this Red Sonja page, where there is no mention of issue and page number. There are notes from Roy Thomas, and Dezuniga seems to be the artist here. Roy Thomas notes also mention a "Joe" , telling him that the first page is being pencilled and will follow, so the letterer could be named Joe or John. I was thinking Red Sonja vol.2 Issue 1 but I cannot find the plot of the story to see if it matches, and on the cover she isn't wearing the silver bikini anymore. So I don't know if this page has been published or remained unpublished.

I remember at the New York Comic Con 2014 seeing an art dealer buying cash a piece at 30.000 USD from one of his colleagues, walking back to his booth and setting a price of 45.000 USD. This was an Olympic flip. But one day later it was gone, maybe sold with a friendly discount, maybe 100 percent cash, maybe part trade, who knows. But gone. In my opinion, there's a very big difference between professional dealers, paying taxes on their benefits, and many, many collectors who love to earn money on the side. I've seen many private collectors being much more greedy that professional dealers when it's time to offer a piece for sale. And the "Make an offer" situation grows on CAF now. Also, in our first months of collecting, I'm sure we were many to receive a message from a fellow collector on CAF, who loved one of our pieces, but it would have to be a very reasonable price cause it's his grail but too expensive at market price. And we candidly agreed on a more than reasonable price. And a few weeks later, the piece appears on ebay, or on CAF, set for sale with a comfortable benefit.
