6.5 I think you’d get banged on the blunted corners and the cb, especially on that back cover by the spine

7.0-7.5

The fact that marvel settled out of court with his family basically puts a stamp on it

I guess that ends the discussion of his 1st appearance

I think Stan was partly responsible for the decline of civilization. You can almost smell the smoke from the earth burning

I asked my son if he remembered having this one back when he was 5 years old. Now he wants it again but this one is mine. He's gonna have to get his own -
4.0 sounds right

9.0 front may be improvable but the back cover flaws aren’t

Collecting things other than comic books, dilemma

Vinyl, toys, audio equipment, movies, sneakers, video games…my life revolves around this stuff for my own enjoyment. The only hobby I’ve walked away from was sports cards. Every so often, I may sell off something to get another for something that “tickles my fancy” at the moment but I couldn’t see sacrificing one in favor of another. Interest in a variety of collectibles allows me to restrain me to what I can afford, adhering to the rule that my collection subsidizes my hobbies as a way to control my spending -
Some other treasures I’ve picked up along the way including the Batman Illustrateds from one of the board’s Christmas raffles. I don’t think I’ll ever stop searching his stuff out

I just realized something...not a big deal, but...

The 60s Marvel Superhero cartoons as well as Stan Lee’s narration in the episode “7 Little Super-Heroes” from Spiderman and his Amazing Friends pronounce it “Sub-mar ‘in’ er”. I also recall a panel where in a sailor on the docks adresses him “Submareener” to which he looks at him in disdain. (Issue 7?) -
It’s usually a mail carrier issue where the book was scanned while still on the truck but not actually delivered due to time constraints. I’d give it a few days and see if it shows up. It’s happened to me on a number of occasions with usps In any event, since tracking shows it was delivered, the buyer would have to request an insurance claim depending on the level of service it was shipped with (ie: priority, 1sr class, etc). It is the postal services responsibility financially now, however with the amount of porch pirate issues recently they may wash their hands of the situation and eBay would more than likely step in and issue them a refund without penalizing you

Just read about it today after taking a break from social media on Todd McFarlane’s fb page. RIP Mr. Adams. You were partly responsible for my own love of drawing an an inspiration for countless pieces of my own artwork. Man, it’s rough saying goodbye to our heroes I have a few of his books signed and his Spectre and Deadman runs are some of my favorite books in my pc. Picked this one up from a boardie a while ago and proud to own it since the day it landed

The “right” buyer/s too. Any of those books in the highest graded category has the potential if there would be a bidding war but it would take more than a couple of interested parties to hit that price point

I saw a low grade raw being offered on Facebook about a year ago but can’t remember the asking price. It was out of my budget so I probably disregarded it knowing it wasn’t gonna happen but it was nice to see a copy being offered
