Anyone know the last sale on All-American Comics #16 was? Highest graded is a 9.4 but can’t find a guide value. Probably has the potential, especially if there’s an even higher grade hiding in the wild somewhere

I don’t read Archie but if Mr.Weatherby killed Betty, Veronica would still be in Archie’s life too so no biggie. Life goes on

Having been some of the first Spidey books I read as a kid, I’m a little partial to 122. It was the first time I’d read/seen a villain get what was coming, albeit “accidentally” for messing with the hero’s love interest, at least in comics. With all the clone stuff and Spider-Gwen things that came later, it pretty much devalued her death to me with the old cliché of nothing being permanent in comics. That and deaths of supporting characters not meaning much to me would seal it, regardless of monetary value. Cover is way cooler too.

If you have the money and want to be frugal, the lower priced copies would allow you to invest what you saved in more books for greater investment potential, imo

Co-signed priority has only been a dollar difference, if that so I usually ship this way and it arrives in time where everyone is happy

Doodles, scribbles in ink pen on covers… what are your thoughts?

It might be worth picking up if 1) it’s a book that’s hard to find/scarce/rare, 2) high dollar book in any grade 3) copies rarely come to market 4) demand is high enough that should you later upgrade to a better copy, resale of the lower grade book won’t be difficult, 5 and most importantly) how important is it to you to have in your collection -

Suitable substitutes for the sh figuarts line including a ko great saiyaman place holder. looking to start adding Street Fighter and Fist of the Northstar figures to the collection but not sure which toy line I want to go with for either. Bandai, NECA and Storm Collectibles all make nice SF figures but I’m not sure who makes a good line of FotNS line. -
Off the 2 books mentioned, I think Marvel Spotlight has greater long term potential because of the Ghost Rider’s longevity in the medium. UF4 may have peaked for now until a significant history is established and the writing can maintain a fan base on par with the original counterpart. Unless marvel can create a well built history with supporting characters over the next 5-10 years, interest will wane and investment growth will stagnate imo. Add to that the amount of high grade copies available for each and it’s probably easier to reach a conclusion on investment.

I can’t tell you what percentage of my collection is based on that same reasoning. Nice pickup. 👍🏼

What is your first comic book in your collection

My older brother used to give me comics all the time but this was the first one I actually asked my mom to buy me from the neighborhood coffee shop. -
Why the op is still protecting this person’s identity almost a year after sending him his books is beyond me. Many of us buy and sell books on multiple platforms and to be honest with you, he probably sold your books ages ago and been viewed by more than a few of us. Way too many excuses with being stolen, then lost to think that “presser” is honest in any way, shape or form and keeping certain details obscured isn’t helping your case and giving that person the opportunity to do it again
