I believe you can but if the person who submits is unaware or forgets to request it, it could turn into a headache. Even CGC could miss the request. Stranger things have happened

Funny thing is an authentic copy with his signature could end up in a qualified green label and scare a potential buyer away

If I remember correctly, there are around 1600 in circulation while Dave Sim himself kept the remaining copies in the better condition from the printer for himself. Legend has it that he sells one every now and then but not often.

Yeah, I saw that one earlier too. Removing it will probably drop it to the same grade as the one I sold but the blue label would definitely bump the price up some. As a side note, my buyer made payment today as promised so I’ll be sending it out later.

When you start posting them at auction be sure to post clear, high res pics to maximize your profits and don’t forget to throw in key words like “key”, “high grade” and “mcu” to draw in as many bidders as possible and don’t forget to share your eBay screen name over here. Have fun though and maybe set some aside to familiarize yourself with comics in general. Who knows, you may end up becoming a collector yourself.

No the buyer contacted me to tell me he had transferred the money to his PayPal after the auction ended and is just waiting for it to clear. Should know by Monday whether he’s legit or not. I’m not losing any sleep over it.

That was mine. Awaiting payment from the buyer but I did offer free local pickup so if I’m lucky, he’ll save us both the headache of shipping. I’m not too bothered by the possibility of him backing out based on his feedback but if he does, I would offer it here on the boards (where I got it from) and just deal with pp fees now that I have a gauge on the fmv.
