  1. I liked this cover over the "Hughes variant for Harley & Ivy/Betty & Veronica" and the Thor 1:100.
  2. I totally agree but from one of the sellers post he was wondering if his price was high, one I quoted below.. This and only this was the reason for my post and suggestions.. I was totally not trying to poop on his sales thread.
  3. If you check past e-bay sales you will find it (5 bills).. This piece can be found in her gallery and it pre-dates this original sketch op. Nice piece and I am jelly.
  4. Thank you.. Oddly these three copies make up half of the Blues on the census..
  5. These just arrived from FL today.. A couple of the CW are duplicates from my last submission..
  6. I am not sure this is considered a "squarebound book", I have never seen GSXM 1 in person, but I don't think comics came in squarebound in 1975. What is considered a squarebound are those books Like the Dark Knight Returns series where there is really no staples holding the book together but glue. Books with staples are easier to press and great results are achieved where squarebound are really not, but seen them done. The problem with the squarebound is the card stock of the cover and the glue holding it together, moisture and heat can cause more damage then good. Great book and congrats on the grade.
  7. If someone is going to tamper it would be with big money books..
  8. This.. I wouldn't mind sending them out to a service, my problem is the time it takes. These services are inundated with work so talking about it, I would not think, hurts there bottom line. There was a blog post with reader comments on the web that had some great information as a starting point. Having a 30 mins conversation with someone that does it is great as well. I was fortunate enough where someone was willing to share. Talk or technique is frowned upon in open forum for various reasons. The main reason is "They don't want anyone to give tutorials on pressing for liability reasons. They say they see a lot of damaged books due to amateur pressers." Just do the research take the time and trial and error..
  9. Are these prints? I have to get me a set.
  10. The books are in Mylites2 Sleeves which says "Get Protection from a Variety of Hazards", one being Ultra-Violet Fading. Not sure how much protection but they don't get any direct sunlight, and the bulbs, I believe, are LEDs. I read the Fluorescent bulbs are very hazardous, so if you have those don't even try it. Pulse the light in this run are hardly on as it is the room in the house I use as an office, so I get enough light from the computer. Also at times I rotate the books out unless I get more shelves.
  11. It goes perfectly between the other women.. There is space because I was suppose to also get a WW #189 SS, but it did not make the grade, so waiting on #146, hopefully it comes back a 9.8.
  12. Beautiful covers .. I probably only seen one of those covers in the past, I have to start looking into Dave Stevens.
  13. You have to ask yourself how much in value would this be in a 9.0 as apposed to 8.5? How much would it cost to have it pressed/cleaned to possibly get a bump? If you think it is worth it, then go for it.. If you have the skills to do the pressing and cleaning yourself, then go for it.
