  1. Just got this from recent CL auction. Always loved this cover.
  2. Most of the covers posted are pretty terrible, there's isn't anything that jumps out at me. Either the character is barley visible or they just standing there striking a pose so the artist can sell the art later. What happened to the covers that had something to do with the story inside? Long gone I guess.
  3. I don't see any long term value in Ultimate Fallout 4, there is over 1700+ CGC 9.8's..We are getting into NM 98 territory here as far as slabbed census numbers. Anyone who pays $600+ for this book is really just taking a ride on the hype train. When the dust settles, this will be a $150-$200 in 9.8 in no time. If you have a 9.8...sell it and move on. If you want a 9.8 and thinking of pulling the trigger at these prices, you're making a mistake.
  4. I try not to buy books with stains on them, sometimes they are easily missed. Fingerprints is another grade killer, put a fingerprint on a 9.8 book and it'll come back a 9.2. Foxing/tanning another grade killer. Look for nice corners, that upper right hand corner on the Conan book is awful. I would have passed if I had seen that.
  5. I usually send in anywhere from 40 to 150 books a month for slabbing. I also press everything myself. When i get them back, about a 1/3 of them sell right away, a week later almost half of them are gone and the rest dwindle away over the course of the rest of the month, then the left overs I either auction them off, discount them or let them sit and they go here and there. I treat my ebay and run it as a business, so if someone wants to do this for a living, you can't make a bunch of cash then go blow it on beer, comics and twitch gamer girls
  6. All I sell is slabs, they're flying out the door as long as the aren't priced too heavily over GPA
  7. I sold the Eightball 1 9.8 months ago for $750 off eBay, I put 5K on the asking price because I didn't want to take the book down right away and I know on one would pay it. and since eBay does investigate as to why someone has taken down their listing and they check the email messages to see if you've sold it offline and they'd issue a warning/suspension, so to avoid that, leave the item up with a stupid price no one would pay.
  8. Speaking of McFarlane Just sold a Marvel Tales 235 CGC 9.8 for $300 https://www.ebay.com/itm/174274182028
  9. Here it is, in all it's glory haha Quite the LCS find I might add.
  10. Don't waste your money on hot books that no one cared about until a movie announcement came along. Buy books that people have always wanted regardless of movie hype.
  11. Update The Crow 3 I submitted is coming back a 9.8 W...I'll sell it if anyone is interested.
  12. Mcfarlane said in an interview he got his style from Akira and that he did a poor man's version of it and that people were calling him a genius
  13. I pressed this book myself, it had a small spine break on the back cover, I thought it would get a 9.6 but sent it in anyway and rolled the dice, surprised it came back a 9.8, even more surprised for what it went for. I had it on eBay for $275 and no one pulled the trigger, no one in Chicago even asked to see it. for that price either, dropped it off to CL before I left the show with a bunch of others.
  14. I was the one who sold the Hulk 345 on comiclink that went for $381, I bought it from Bob Storms raw a few months back
