  1. Early Marvels are becoming the new golden age books, where people are eventually going to be jumping up and down saying "Yes!!! I got an ASM 8 4.0!!!""
  2. I don't know WW or Sensation Comics golden age, what should I be looking for? Which number range and grades are the most desirable?
  3. I'm in the club 3 times over! I bought the 9.2 as advertised as a 9.0 raw. The 7.5 looked like a 5.5 in the case it had so many non color breaking defects, bottom left corner had a crease that went through the entire book, very over graded. Pressed to the same grade...at least it's a correctly graded 7.5 now...and the 7.0 I haven't pressed it yet, I'm in no big rush.
  4. Ask that question to some of the people here, they'd say all of them are in 9.8+ condition and they all survived. They just haven't been to CGC...yet. haha
  5. I only have A - artwork, how much can I get for A- art? Seriously, I got my A- art in 2006, but before everything blew up I guess? Idk, I haven't bought any new art since 2006 since I can't afford anything I want. Anyway, if i was collecting today and can't afford the big names, I'd work collect today's hot artists and try to get the best stuff I could afford and hang onto it. That's probably anyone's best bet if 60s-80's art isn't within your reach.
  6. "all post X-Men art can go up in flames just means I couldn't care less about it, I'd never buy any Jim Lee art without your inks on it
  7. I called CGC yesterday, they told me they get an ETA sheet every week, moderns are at 8-10 weeks, yet their website said 23 business days. I said "you might want to update the site" they said it's just an estimate. I didn't feel like arguing with them.
  8. Bump in page quality, most likely pressed with no change in grade
  9. As a Jim Lee fan, The only Jim Lee art worth spending stupid money on, would be on his Uncanny X-Men/X-Men days. Everything thing else he's done can go up in flames, it's all over priced and people are crazy enough to keep paying his prices for art that looks like every other design he's done a 1000 times already.
  10. I don't see the appeal of signed comics and the yellow cgc label is hideous.
  11. just write it down on the printed form, customer service will make the adjustment.
  12. My BB 28 is a 5.0, it'll go to auction when I'm in retirement
  13. Handy work is just them using a tacking iron, I hardy doubt it really gets done based on how many books they receive
  14. I'm in the same boat. I called CGC today and they said Fast Track Value is running at 6-7 weeks
  15. I understand but it doesn't mean the BB 28 sky is falling...it's a low grade copy and they are common, still a tough book in HG and highly sought after by any DC fan. I do agree with Kimik though, rather get a Hulk 181 for the same price point.
  16. Think long term..like 20-30 years from now, then try and buy a BB 28 3.5 for 2K
  17. I don't think Stan Lee is going to be in the unemployment line anytime soon that he'd need a GoFundme page.
  18. I mainly stick to slabs as much as I can when selling on eBay. I don't fear selling on ebay. You will need to do it correctly though, Invest in a legal sized scanner...your cellphone photo where all I can see on the case is you taking the picture and not the actual book is quite annoying. The faster the customer gets their item, the happier they are.
  19. Pressing and having it graded would be the correct thing to do. You basically answered your own question
  20. Order a bunch of books on pre order, cause you're bored, then once they come in to your LCS...never pick them up! What could be easier for the customer?
  21. There's just no stopping a Hulk 181, demand is intense.
  22. You'll need more than 6k to buy a golden age key haha
