  1. Don't worry about the reason, instead go out and start looking for as many as you can find!
  2. Go on CAF and read descriptions...90% of them people claim "I have my grail" the word is over used and misused. I own a Kirby JIM splash, a Mcfarlane ASM splash and a Bolland WW cover...I consider none of them to be "grails"
  3. I used to volunteer my time to a comic store when I was 17, The comic store's owner worked at a newspaper company delivering newspapers by truck. He said to his father, "I can get any magazine you want" He brought in multiple copies of Spawn 1 to sell in his dad's comic store and marked them 50% off cover "Because they had bar codes on them" I was 17 and broke as a joke at the time haha
  4. Wait for the trade. This is just to get people to buy more single books. Too many variants, This series will be in the dollar bins in a few years.
  5. My older bro sold his 7.5 a few years ago with much better page quality and now he is sad
  6. That's the problem, other fandoms are getting in the way, hardcore comic collectors don't want cosplay, video games and toys in the same room as the comics, trades and GNs can be bought online for pennies on the dollar so we don't want those either, and anyone who actually has higher end stuff, doesn't do the Boston show. I'm not paying $50 admission to go look at action figures and video games.
  7. It's not going to go that high. It hit $600 when Cable was announced. It may hit $900 or more one day, but that would take a long time.
  8. Glad I didn't go, I'll be at Terrificon Saturday though if anyone is looking for a fight
  9. The covers were printed desperately and of course more than 1 title being printed at the same time, so obviously the book got inserted into the wrong cover at one point. It would get a green label if slabbed.
  10. Looks like the back cover could use a cleaning, I don't think a pressing would help this book cause I'd be worried about those weak staples. Just keep it in your collection and move on.
  11. There is a few things wrong with BCWs comic boxes, including the graded boxes 1) The handles are too far below the lid, the handles should be right under the lid so when you pick the box up, you can grab the top of the box at the same time. 2) Box & Lid are too flimsy, Need some thicker cardboard so the boxes last 3) Finally, and it's a big one. The inside flaps don't stay up, I usually have to tape them with box tape but a lot of times that doesn't last. Inside flaps shouldn't be falling down on their own. The should be tight and snug when assembled.
  12. 10% isn't enough for an investor to put up X amount of thousands of dollars. You're looking at least 30% . You have to remember, the investor doesn't do anything for your business, it's all on you. They put up the money and expect to kick back while you pay them 30% for as long as you're in business.
  13. Yeah registered is great for anything really high dollar. Anyone that touches it needs to sign for it.
  14. It'll be fine, but fingerprints do effect grading depending on how bad they are.
  15. Don't use the USPS @$75 a box to have them mailed to you, go on ups.com and get yourself a ups account number. My last shipment cost me $28.29 to have 21 slabs shipped to me. They were shipped out from CGC on a Thursday and I had them in my hand Tuesday afternoon. Hope USPS finds them, just too many chefs spoiling the pot to deal with the post office as well the overpriced shipping charge, cgc doubles it if you don't use your own shipping account.
