  1. ASM 361 isn't even copper, it's modern. Copper books in 9.8 aren't exactly the easiest books to find in the wild. No one hardly cared for them. Now people are digging through quarter boxes for them
  2. That's a tough list to choose from. I'd go with either the Avengers 1, ASM 1 and the BB 28, but choose your BB 28 wisley. I'd go with the Avengers 1.
  3. 287 9.8 ASM 344s is a lot...plenty for everyone in this world that wants one!
  4. It's just a drawing from another dude's imagination ...Hardly sexy.
  5. It's all a lie, there's nothing wrong with you. - Batman
  6. It's all a gamble. Books heat back up with each movie release. For $1500, I'd look to early silver instead for more long term stability. Unless of course you like it that much and gotta have it. Or you could just get a Hulk 181
  7. You need bring a CGC witness with you and have him go undercover Think outside the box.
  8. She's a smoker, she's hiding it behind her chair.
  9. Stay away from variant covers no matter how hot they are, they all sink or have a ceiling. Who knows how many ASM 678 MJ variants marvel is sitting on or how many Batman 608 RRP covers DC has sitting on a bookshelf somewhere. Variants are pretty much a waste of money.
  10. I can see the 316 hitting $500 one day. I was 13 in 1989 and when I saw this book sitting the shelf of New England Comics and something about it said "Buy Me" I knew nothing about comics at the time and it was my first trip to a comic store ever. Also bought Hulk 354 that day too, can't remember what else.
  11. Superman Annual 11 is the "For the Man Who Has Everything" storyline by Alan Moore, DC fans love this book.
  12. Then you have to factor in what the book cost you + eBay/PP fees + if you take a hit on the shipping cost vs what the customer paid, you really aren't making anything on these $-9-$10 sales unless you have 500 to sell
  13. Some of those McSpidey Marvel Tales books are super tough to find in HG, Only 2 9.8's have been graded of #225. No 9.6's or 9.4s
  14. $26,750 Spider-Man 14 double splash by Mcfarlane - Spidey in his black suit vs Morbius It's not even that nice of a splash!
  15. Anything after 1970 on the baseball card market is pretty much junk, the much older stuff that's graded is right up there with a slabbed copy of AF 15's and Hulk 1's. NM/MT cards from the 50's are crazy money. I don't see the market cooling down anytime soon on the comics front. It's only gotten more expensive as time passes.
  16. That's all you get for all the time, hard work and mounds of cash spent is a piece of paper that says Congrats with your name on it?
  17. Maybe they just like the gold cover more than the silver?
  18. Picked up a Spidey 1 Gold at a local con...$6 and it looks like a 9.8.
  19. I personally stay away from large conventions simply because between the cost of admission (I'm not paying $40 to look at action figures) Cost of parking, gas, I've already spent $200 before I even stepped foot inside and It's way overcrowded, I get dizzy with all the people walking by me cause that's all I see, is people, It's hard to get at the dealer's table with all the clowns who have their notebooks spread out all over the boxes while they wear their backpacks, I see that I usually just skip that dealer or come back when it's more accessible. I think promoters want to try and cast as big of net as possible when doing a convention cause not everyone who goes, collects comics so they can get the admission attendance up, so they'll make more money and tell dealers "Hey! Our attendance last year was 125K! That'll be $5000 a table please!" I love the small local shows, I have a monthly ones 10 mins from my house I go to all the time. Talking to dealers at these small shows it's more about making small sales, people go for the cheap books. For a $35 table they can walk out with 1-2K in their pockets for doing a 5 hour one day show. Show is all 95% comics. Slabs are for the internet. If dealers are struggling with Wizard shows, then just don't do them anymore, seems like they are becoming more of a liability than an asset.
  20. Glad I picked these up when no one cared about them. http://www.myslabbedcomics.com/GalleryRoom.asp?GSub=2635
  21. Zatanna 1-6 Bolland variant covers are doing well, easily $30-50 each for NM or better copies.
  22. I'm in the club! I found a collection of books someone was selling on OfferUp app. I met up with him and he said "5 boxes of comics for $150" "My dad collected comics and I need the storage space, I don't know anything about comics" I reached into one of the boxes and found an Iron Man 55 sticking out. I said "I'll take this whole box" I bought 2 boxes of what I wanted for a $100 each and went back a few days later and gave him $40 for a cherry picked modern collection. I pressed and cleaned the Iron Man 55 myself and now it's coming back a 7.5 ow/w ...Keeper!
