  1. Jerome, when are you getting your Venom 6 McFarlane cover?
  2. Works for me too, still have an invoice for a book I didn't send in
  3. Thanks Dan, I wanted that book to be totally perfect for some reason. I do see a lot of them cut off the top or bottom like a lot of bronze/copper books, or it's off centered. Picked this up on sale for just a little over $200, Once I saw BINs being hit for $300, I figured it was time to pull the trigger. One less ASM to get to complete my ASM 200-328 run all in 9.8
  4. I'd like to see of the hardest 80's books to find some non variant from Marvel and DC, not some obscure "Independent book printed in their basement" no one has ever heard of.
  5. This looks like this because the timing of the units are off. Black blue, red and yellow are all separate color units on the press, so the press operator would have to wheel back the units that are out with each other by hand and check it with the units that are in time to make all the colors line up again with each other. A bad web break wrapping up on the blanket cylinders can cause this to happen, basically, the press is going to be down awhile
  6. Red. red and yellow makes orange, that's why if there isn't enough red, it'll turn orange
  7. This came in the mail today, Took me forever to find a copy I was happy with. Note the centering and the even white spacing at the top and bottom of the book on the logos, they are usually cut off at the top and bottom resulting in a uneven trim job. This one came off the press perfect
  8. It's another printing error because all the other colors are not washed out. Again, no red ink..
  9. It's a printing error because the red ink fountain was running dry and those copies should have been thrown out,but somehow still got saved and shipped. They didn't have automatic ink levers back in those days, ink fountains were filled by hand. It's not a sun fade because all the other colors are there. "Human Printing Error"
  10. I'll be there, so will pretty much all the other dealers who set up other local shows in CT , I went a few years ago, same thing as the Plainville show but in the hallway of a college with no hot college girls walking around...
  11. I remember when I got my copy, I was pretty thrilled . Still am.
  12. sounds like the Avengers 4 didn't really have any pressable defects. Just cause it's pressed doesn't mean an automatic grade bump.
  13. Just picked up a low grade VG copy at the comic store today, I have it in the press now and cleaned the back cover, came out nice.
  14. Batgirl 41 Canceled Joker Cover Exists! Came across this youtube video of a guy with a legit copy of Batgirl 41 featuring the canceled Joker cover. Could fetch more than the MJ Venom variant in 9.8 of one were to ever come up for sale.
  15. This just ended on Heritage, highest price for a 2.5 I've seen so far. https://comics.ha.com/itm/silver-age-1956-1969-/superhero/amazing-fantasy-15-marvel-1962-cgc-gd-25-off-white-pages/a/121716-13226.s
  16. Guy on a buy/sell app had some comics for sale...500 comics for $150. I met up with him last week and put my hand in one of the boxes, sticking out was an Iron Man 55. Without looking through the rest of the box I said "I'll take this box" and I grabbed another box with some Luke Cage/Iron Fists/Power Man, and a small run of captain america as well as a bunch of modern keys, ASM 361, Eternal Warrior 4 ect.. Paid $240 for everything. I grade the Iron Man 55 a 7.0-7.5 ish with white pages. I was supposed to meet up with him this morning at his house but after 3 texts he never responded...more than likely sold the other 10 boxes he had I havent seen yet to someone else. Its was all 12, 20 cent covers all the way up to the late 90's early 2000s. Whatever the IR 55 grades out at, I'll keep it.
  17. I don't bother with variants, they usually tank by the time they come back from cgc. Show me some books that are heating up that aren't variants.
  18. It's really noticeable where it says "Introducing Spider-Man" As well as the title. Looking at it gives me a headache but it'll still sell for stupid money
