  1. Is one better than the other? That would be the newsstand version, It's all preference
  2. Quick Payment through a M/O, Pleasant to deal with, look forward to more transactions!
  3. This Justice League movie will be the next Avengers movie, Glad I grabbed my 5.0 OW when I did.
  4. he's rumored to be the next batman after jim gordon On top of being an absolutely killer cover by Mignola. that's exactly what i thought when i looked it up (thumbs u Batman standing on top of a statue, not exactly original, we've seen this type of cover a 1000 times, how is this a "killer cover?"
  5. I figured BA 12 was due for a breakout when the book was $150 in 9.8. I said, if HQ was to ever appear in a movie, that book would explode, then it went to $300 and my brother ended up grabbing a copy, then it jumped to $500 and so on, I should have followed my own advice.
  6. It would seem to be bogus. The sale in last week's Comic Link auction of $1700.00 seems to be more in line with what 9.0s are going for these days. I do have a very nice old label 9.0 that I would be compelled to sell for $3300 and change...anyone...anyone?? For that price I'll take 2
  7. Oh I guess that's the new going price now... Just looked and both went for less than the 12 month average after the book seemed to be jumping the past few months. It will be interesting to see if this is a bit of a trend or just people buying the book, not the label. No way to tell if people are buying the book or the label, a sold 6.0 is a sold 6.0, weather you agree with the grade or not. People just want to have a copy of it, Keys sell in all grades across the board, no other reason to buy the book or the label other than the fact that it's the 1st JLA or someone is buying it to fill in a hole in their BB run. Demand will pick up again when the movie gets closer.
  8. One day those "moderns" will become vintage, but the standard for moderns is 9.8, You can only speculate, newer books go up and down all the time, but once in a while something come up out of nowhere that caught everyone off guard, Did you think BA 12 was going to turn into a $2000 book? Probably not.
  9. Asking prices are getting expensive but no one is paying them. As long as #1 and #8 can be had for a few hundred dollars in a 9.8, #4 is at best a $200 book. (thumbs u -J. It's Lucifer TV show speculation. I had a ton of hits on my copy when the show was announced. Yeah, these clowns that sell on MCS are asking insane prices.
  10. Sandman 4 is getting expensive, I'm trying to complete a Sandman run from 1-10 all in 9.8, Missing 2-5, 9 and 10.
  11. (thumbs u When you have dealers saying they get more for copies with better page quality and collectors saying they'll pay more for copies with better page quality and the fact that not a single collector would pay more for a copy with lower page quality, the matter is settled. So it's just silly-season now...Jaydog vs. the world and he ain't backing down no way, no how, no matter what! I actually passed on a 5.5 and 6.0 when I was buying my BB 28 5.0 because I didn't want the cream pages, I downgraded for better PQ. Yes PQ does make a difference in terms of a buying decision.
  12. Got this today, JIM 87 cover is my favorite out of the rest of the journeys
