  1. Just picked up a BB 28 5.0 for $5500...Guess I just raised the current going price
  2. So you're in the Eternal Warrior #5 crowd then, for Bloodshot? Solar #11 for EW? I'm in the "whatever book people are paying the highest for his/her 1st appearance" crowd hahaa
  3. I tried to join the hulk 1 club this morning but could afford the cover, so I joined the BB 28 club instead
  4. I added more black, white, yellow and a little blue.
  5. And hey, that one might actually have a shot at a 9.8, going by the scan. How does that top staple affect things? Buying a raw copy for $175 when a CGC 9.8 goes for $225 is Uh, not really. In fact, it's a steal. 225 is about right, SS go for more but yours isn't a SS
  6. Need to bring up the black and white a little bit...Like this!!
  7. Dump your entire collection and put it towards an AF 15...There is nothing you have you probably can't get again.
  8. That's what happens when you have a deadline, besides, you can't do any better. please, if these guys had to draw each face noticeably different and then be consistent in doing so they would never be able to finish an issue. Exactly
  9. That's what happens when you have a deadline, besides, you can't do any better.
  10. Yeah, I wanted one with no marvel chipping and was pretty clean. I'll upgrade eventually, for now i'm pretty pumped up about it!
  11. AF 15's demand is enormous, That's why people are slabbing NG's. It's that "I have to have it" mentality and people are lining up even if the book is torn up in pieces, we see this with Action 1's and Detective 27's. The same is starting with the AF 15 and FF 1. Just not enough copies to go around and people setting on lower grades cause they can't afford the mid to upper grades anymore.
  12. Finally joined the Elite clubhouse! Took awhile, But I got there! No writing, Date Stamps or Marvel Chipping and solid page quality! It'll be here in a few days.
  13. I wanna get one of these!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUFeI3lU_z0
  14. I always thought it was X-Factor #19, hmmm gotta dig out the boxes and flip through em Slab both copies, however the 19 goes for more money.
  15. I need this in my life!! Day 1 pre- order for me. Anyone catch the Batman Arkham Asylum PF in the Joker preview? I saw it, but do we really need ANOTHER Batman PF? Black and White one, "modern age" one, Keaton one, now Arkham Asylum one and you know a Jack Nicholson and maybe even Heath Ledger one are coming. I guess they are doing an AA line, which is pretty cool. Amazing games and very comic-like character anyways so lots of people will be interested in them. I'm guessing Harley will be the 3rd one though it should probably be another villain. No, we do not. However, I would be interested in a Ledger Joker. There is always room in this world for another Batman. Just like there is always room for another criminal in todays overcrowded prisons.
  16. Darkseid came out today for pre-order...$599.99 I might hold off for the regular version, The switch out head isn't that great. I already have 3-4 orders in now, and Aquaman is coming. I think Darkseid can wait for the time being even though he a must have for me. Can't be buying too many right now.
  17. Everywhere I look it stats that Hulk 379 is the 1st Ajax
  18. XM statues are really nice but the price is insane
  19. keeps the statue from looking stiff
  20. Next you guys will be taping together cereal boxes. Tape takes money out of the comic budget Exactly my thought, and it would be far more fiscally responsible to use cereal boxes as backing boards. Oh, I've definitely received some of those. I haven't received them as backing boards, but they have been used numerous times as the packing cardboard. I can top that. I had a seller on eBay ship me a comic IN a cereal box. The only protection the comic had was it was wrapped in a plastic bag. I had a Spider-Man 300 shipped to me in a box of raisin bran, I got a refund.
  21. Been waiting for this! There will be more variants to come of course. This and Darkseid are my 2 priorities
  22. Patently false. The week before the announcement 4-5 copies CGC 9.8 copies sat unsold at ~$325 Buy-It-Nows on eBay & at least one retailer site, while the CGC 9.6s sat unsold at $100 Buy-It-Nows but sold for about $78 at true auction (with the occasional $100 true auction for 9.6). There's a world of difference between "sold for $300-$400 in 9.8" and "sat for months unsold at $325 BIN asking price in 9.8" Before the announcement the book had steadily trended downward over a period of several years from the 2500 high. There's a 65 page thread on the discussion and analysis of Harbinger 1 in CGC 9.8, and for Kevin to say the book was 'expensive' in the $300-400 range is taking this book at severely depressed levels. There is extensive buyer history support at this book at the 1k level and 500$. Only the absolute weakest hands were shaken out in the $300-350 range. Trust me, I was very, very critical on the price action on this book for a number of years and only until it got to the mid 300s and below you'll see I started to change my tune. You guys over analyze everything, I'm sure some of you have spread sheets of prices and charts of "Data" on what books have been sold for, what hasn't been sold ect... I saw the book selling "ie : Nice green letters with the numbers ranging from $300-$400 for 9.8's on ebay. I was being general, like I usually am but people on here like to correct everyone and pull up spreadsheets to prove to everyone that they're right and the guy being "in the ballpark" is wrong. People wonder why I say the stuff I do. This is Why!!
  23. Harbinger 1 has always been expensive, 9.8's were going for $300-$400 even before the announcement
