  1. I checked Dean Motter's website and they will be issuing a TPB of all the MR. X comics in the original run. (They published a HC The Mr. X archives about 5 years ago, so this is a paperback version.) ALSO, they will be reprinting the 4 original mini-posters advertising the Mr. X. book from the early 80s as part of a MR. X. 30th anniversary deal-o. I have searched for these mini posters for decades with no luck. Super stoked! http://deanmotter.com/news.htm
  2. Interesting strategy. Could the opposite be a better strategy? Keep the best 10% at the house for the "estate sale", do whatever cheaply with the rest. Salvation Army? They pick up. Tax write-off. If someone sees only the best, they may think this was an extremely picky and astute collector and this collector must know more then them and they buy at a much higher price. But, what do I know.
  3. What are those collector packs? Remember the 4 mini posters they sold before the mr x comic came out? Never able to find those. city of dreams, city of nightmares
  4. Image it's just the mood I'm in now: middle of the night, can't sleep. Buying stuff gave the guy pleasure, and that's good, However I want to know more about this person. What was his job? How did he die? If that stuff could talk I imagine the fights they could tell us, "Get this stuff out of here!" "You said you weren't going to buy anything more!" Ultimately, what a burden for the family. Sounds like they just want it gone. Cleaning superman peanut butter jars? for what purpose? l'm gonna try to keep my collection small and tight. Someone's gonn have to deal with it
  5. Honestly don't know what happen to my Plookiville's. They had no resale value at the time I sold stuff.
  6. Awesome! thanks for the 411 on the Charlie Brown spoof. Didn't know that.
  7. Gator, When someone comes into your store clutching a long box and asks, "Do you buy comics?" can you tell by looking at the person what's in the long box?
  8. Three of my favorite comics. Anybody got any cool one-of-a-kind items to show off? Thanks in advance.
  9. I'm assuming this is a typo. Burkey has all of ASM 20 in his private collection. It was a mistake. There is a SD page with Green Goblin on the Cool Lines site. thought it was 20, but that's the Scorpion. Correction: ASM 23, page 6 They quoted me $35K back 2009 so knowing them they likely are asking $70k now. $35K was crazy then so that is why they still have it. John B. thanks. what does this Cool Lines place have a giant vault with all that art in it?

  11. No point in asking about the Steve Ditko Spiderman 20 page, I guess. No I don't have a lot of money.
  12. I've got my Daredevil Miller run, Alan Moore Swamp Thing run, and an unexpected Swamp Thing Vol. 1 run. I got Dark Knight Returns 1 9.8, 9.6 SS (Miller/Janson) I guess this is Copper Age stuff, sorry This year it's about discipline and focus. Discipline and focus.
  13. Chronologically, the 3D issue sits between issues 3 and 4. Now where the heck are the rest of the Gaiman issues? Will see how I enjoy the first 16 issues and proceed accordingly. Thanks for taking the time to respond to my question.
