  1. Theme? Quality movies. Maybe I could introduce one or two to the superhero brigade in between the "Is Antman #7 movie coming?" I little perspective is all. I like the B***Hole Surfers is why that's there. And Jeff Pinkus.
  2. HA! This is not true! Quote from Dale at me at a con: Me: "May I please see that book on the wall." Dale: "Of course, that's why I brought them."
  3. ok, if you enjoy his new stuff then I'm on your side. Buy away. If you were to say, "Well he's a legend and even though his new stuff sucks I still buy whatever he does because he's a legend" I had a rant for you. But cool beans, you like it, good on you.
  4. Later Moon Knight for sure. Didn't read those other titles.
  5. I always like Frank Miller but get confused if it was him or Klaus Janson or his ex wife Lynn Varley. I dipped my toe into collecting OA Miller art but it just got confusing if he did it or Janson plus just couldn't hang with the big boys who collect OA. Bill S. was great before he went completely off the rails. There was a sliver of time when it had weirdness but still cohesive. Then it just got stupid for stupid's sake - Electra Miniseries was God awlful. Steve Ditko grows on you but Romita did a better Spiderman I thought. But Ditko's Dr. Strange stuff and horror stuff where a character is freaking out looking out a rain soaked window - nobody does that s - better. Steve Bisset on Swamp Thing was great. Everything from the 90s seemed to suck serious anus.
  6. I don't know what day it is trapped in here. Two things happened: 1. - I saw the blender/McDonalds footage and 2. - I saw a customer at a convention about two years ago act towards a dealer like he'd never been punched in the face before and needed a serious punch to the face. I put two and two together and asked the question. Also a third thing happened: my wife put Ozark on pause to take a long work call and I had time to kill to ask the dealers here the question. Back to Ozark where one improbable thing happens after another. It's still better than Stranger Things which I refused to sit and watch with the wife. I went to my office/library and played with my books and comic books.
  7. Have you ever gotten so pissed at an unreasonable customer that you've wanted to throw a slabbed book at their face? If you did throw a slabbed book at them would you take the time to find the lowest value slab or just grab the one closest to you to cause the most damage? Would you then retrieve it and have it pressed and reslabbed?
  8. also Subby22 or whomever. You know The "once the Chinese discover AF15 sales will skyrocket for the rest of time" guy. SPIDEY WILL NEVER DIE!
  9. Frank Miller. Talk about a downfall.
  10. i got me one. can't get a hold of the man to track provedence or whatever that 10$ world is unless I go to canada comic cons. I need to watch some good comic book collecting you tube channels.
  11. Never heard of 'em let me look him up. i'll be right back. Edit: No, he sucks, too. I'm a fan of one man and one man alone: Magik Woo
  12. you've got to remember ......Umm.....can't think of a good come back to win internet points.
  13. I need to create a wall of text informing you that your memory is wrong and that I am right. I need to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich at the moment and that is more important, so, you're off the hook...
  14. how were they on the news stands? wasn't it direct market only?
  15. I think his artwork sucks. Even if it is inked by Jesus Christ himself.
  16. basically, but i do see them for 20$ raw on the wall at cons.
  17. i was under the legal age to work, yet I did work at a comic shop and was paid in store credit. I got caught up in the "it's the first direct market comic," it's a new character first issue mania. I believe I was 13 or 14. I bought them with the intent of selling them for more than I paid for them years on. If I recall correctly, that didn't happen.
