  1. No. Never seen it. But I appreciate your sense of true television entertainment! Thank you so very much for making my day. BUY TWO SETS BECAUSE TONIGHT IS YOUR NIGHT! GEM MINT 10 PERFECT! YOU CAN TAKE THAT TO THE BANK!
  2. i enjoy watch Rick's Coin Vault (I think that's the title of the program) early on Sunday Morning when nothing else is on - like say 3:30am - 4:30 am (Yes, I'm up that early preparing for my hike) and they have lots of cool coins. Rick spins around in his chair if he feels it's a super good buy. I've been thinking about buying some coins from Rick's Coin Vault, especially when Rick really starts spinning in his chair - you know it's gonna be worth some serious cash one day. Also I'm seeing ads for American (Well not really, Cook Islands) double silver dollar eagle coins. According to the commercial the United States mint stopped making double silver dollar coins in the early 20s but a bunch were found in vault (in the commercial you can tell it's a serious find because one of the guys has a loupe to his eye inspecting the coin with a huge grin) and it's endorsed by some woman standing in front of a projector screen who I believe is involved in the US Mint (at least that's what her title card says). I'm thinking coins are gonna over take comics as there seems to be a lot less nefarious tomfoolery going on.
  3. you'd think the comic companies themselves would help you out a bit. You'd think.
  4. its fun fun. A movie with soul and passion and what else is there in art? in fact you can say that about any Ted Mikels' production. BTW, no animals were harmed in any way in the making of The Corpse Grinders (as should go without saying).
  5. Good for you and your wishes. Says a lot about you. Since you seem to enjoy animals, ou may enjoy this movie. It's called The Corpse Grinders and it was made by the (in)famous Ted V. Mikels and was about a cat food company that found the best cat food was made from freshly ground up corpses. Only problem was it turned the cats into crazed killing machines, the cats usually killing blonde women easy on the eyes. I know you said that particular desire is gone for you, but give the film an honest shot. You may like it and if you do I've got other Mikels suggestions.
  6. are you gonna be buried with our TECs, if so, where? maybe you guys will see me on an episode of Forensic Files. Or an episode of America's Most Wanted if that was still on the air or as my friends that worked on it called it America's Most Overtime.
  7. jeez man, you sound like a cool dude. no need to die alone (unless that is your wish) however, I hear you about the "desire" leaving you. Sounds like a blessing.
  8. if they're weren't just so many gosh darn copies of AF15 maybe we could make some progress. If only some of us would sacrifice our AF15 copies for the greater good of collecting.
  9. All the kids today talk about is sneakers. That's where the money is. In 20 years sneakers will be worth serious dollars (I know some already are). My last batch of HA auction booklets had a whole book on video games auctions. Now I'm a simple man, good looking, but very, very simple and something to me just seems off on this new emerging collectable video game cartridges entombed in plastic. Like something is, ahhh, what's the word I'm looking for....oh yeah, completely manufactured.
  10. SPIDEY WILL NEVER DIE! THE MOVIES! THE KIDS! THE CHINESE!
  11. i understand the who what where of the term "juice" when it comes to HA. My questions is it a pejorative term. Your book is really only worth "x" but with the "juice" included it's now worth "xx."
  12. thanks for the link! Gonna read it now. Often wondered about the hows and whys of this end of the hobby.
  13. Actually if she just talked to me endlessly about Ayn Rand I'd be ok.
  14. i guess it does up the value and what else is it about?

  16. I wish the Heritage 8.0 auction had sold for more, but whateves. It will be interesting to see the what the CC 8.0 sells for basically right after the Heritage 8.0 sale. Perhaps we will see if it sells for less because it goes to the Heritage underbidder or it sells for more because someone doesn't want to "miss out again" and we therefore can put a tested theory into motion. My theory. I will copyright it. That is my hope for the matter. Seems like a foolproof plan. Thoughts?
  17. Nah, if I suggest a movie I think is a great work of cinema (superhero or not) and someone gives it a shot it might introduce someone to something enjoyable they might not had previously know before. I know and respect where I am and if CGC wants an end to it, all they just have to let me know. Lock it or whatever. It's not about age, it's about quality. Some of the movies I posted above reside in the Library of Congress National Film Registry. Just an alternative view is all. Some of the cinematic techniques invented in some old films reside and improve some of these superhero films. As always Bosco 685 much respect for you and your love of cinema.
