  1. Don't hang out in Moderns, so sorry for the drive-by. I saw some video over in CG where Rob dude was saying Hi to some poster name Jimmy Lingunie or whatever. I watched it. Turns out "video hello" is a paid service. Weak. Watched the video due to temporary extreme boredom. Rob dude seems like a cross between Paulie Shore, that horrible actor Adam Sandler is always with (Rob something) and, I dunno, a turd. Oh yea, is art sucks. Big time. So to answer OP question. Rob should pay collector for his sig.
  2. The original japanese Godzilla (195-whatever) (Not USA Raymond Burr version) is an exceptional film, directed by a Hiroshima atomic bomb surviver.
  3. I actually have no idea who Stu is. Just see his name alot. Followed by drama. Followed by a ban. Followed by a new name, accusations of Stu, followed by drama. Followed by a ban. Followed by a new... oh, f-ing cares....
  4. No. I am Stu. I have been Stu since day one. I've fooled you all.
  5. thanks. the line out front doesn't really look like comic fans, more like the line I encountered at the Social Security Office when my mother-in-law died.
  6. that's a cool looking building. any history you have on it?
  7. Professionally I can’t comment as set design/ set dressing isn’t my area of expertise. Personally I feel it’s lazy and like the lazy lighting it makes me dismiss Cal’s ideas as lazy. Cal’s production could be considered Direct Cinema in the same school as Frederick Wiseman’s documentaries, I guess.
  8. Thanks for posting Kav. I’ll read once I get home can’t see smack on the phone
  9. No way, Kav! What did Seth say? I have a new found respect for you and need to take you off ignore!
  10. I wake up every morning thanking the stars I understand 3-point lighting and I wished you understood the value of it. Maybe value #11 for you? See the giant shadow of yourself on the wall stage right (left as you look at the computer image), it's really distracting man and pegs you as an amateur, your ideas amateur. I know you don't want that. So..... Here you go, Cal. I spent about 1 second finding this for you. A couple people, maybe not many, but a couple people would take you a little more serious if you took your "production" a little more serious.
  11. Hey if folks don't mind me nudging this thread a little to the left (Sorry Hollywood): What's the most cringe-worthy thing you've heard/seen a fan do at an artist/writer/creator's table. For example you're in live for an autograph or whatever and the person in front of you is really a fan boy. A really cringe worthy fan boy. I'll give you one. Once I was cruising (not that kind of cruising) down Hollywood Blvd and somebody was getting a star on the "Walk Of Fame." I stopped. It was Janet Leigh. Her daughter Jamie Leigh Curtis was hanging out looking good in a tight miniskirt so I stayed and chilled awhile. Bunch of fanboys with piles of 8x10s were waiting behind the ropes sweaty, overweight and nervous. When Leigh made her way over to where I was standing I shouted out, "Ms. Leigh!? Was Alfred Hitchcock an odd man?" Before she could answer a fan boy with a stack of photos Leigh was patiently signing began to sweat more and more and kinda started shaking. And than threw up narrowly missing Mr. Leigh. She fled and never answered my question.
  12. I'm a simple man. You guys speak in riddles. One day I'll understand.
  13. I gave all my money to Bob Storms when I put my raw/unpressed HG X-Men run together. I'm saving up more money to give to him to put another X-men run together. If I give all my money to Bob Storms, how can I give you any? As I've said, you seem like a super cool guy. I'd spend the night with you, too. See above comment: I spend my money with Storms because he does a great job. No discomfort to me. Maybe my wife, not for me. I don't find ever good comics, anywhere. Thrift stores, estate sales, junk yards. Never not once. My crime was selling my original childhood collection to pay for a film. I take that back. It was an amazing experience making a film. I just had to sell my collection to pay for the final answer print. I only regret is wondering what became of the 50 Dazzler #1s and the Avengers #172, the first comic my dad (RIP) ever bought me. Why did I sell that one?
  14. “Bromance” comes to mind. Someone said that. Made me laugh. Regardless, I’m in Glassman’s corner all the way. The dude sold his AF15 for 50k ( I think. Not sure if it’s been mentioned before or not) in a 5.0 (I think. Not sure it it’s been mentioned before or not) when a 5.0 now sells for 32k. Glassman, I got your back. These jealous wanna be AF15 collectors around here give you a problem, I will fight them. You used your AF15 (5.0?) sale money (50k?) for your sons house down payment ( I think, not sure). I bet you’re one cool dad!!
  15. Wish I could keep up with what AF15s got bought, pressed, regraded, reholdered, resold like some of you arm chair Sam Spades around here can. All I can remember is the story about the guy who found the AF15 in a box in the junkyard school bus. I love you, Glassman and you did sell at the right time with the right seller for the right reasons.
  16. I just got a letter from Ditko yesterday. He's really had a change of heart as far as his attitude towards his fans.
  17. I don't know. Probably not. It's just someone whoofing. Probably doesn't go anywhere cause people that woof don't have follow-through or money to keep refreashing their Craig's List Lawyers. I bet if I knew CalAmerica's name, knew where he lived, and went to the court house there and looked in the records, he's got lawsuits. One's that he has initiated for some perceived slight or grievance or someone looked at him cross-eyed. Guaranteed. That are he collects daggers in his back.
  18. Well, I saw you posted that. I saw his response. I wasn't there so I don't know. But his response had the tone of a person who is always involved in a lawsuit with someone. You ever met someone that is always suing someone? I'm suspicious of people like that.
  19. I called John Waters when I was a kid (he was in the Baltimore phone book) and asked him low budget film making and about Divine eating Sh*t. He was super cool.
  20. You don't remember the Death Of Superman BS? I was so glad to be away from comics at that point in time.
