  1. ain't nobody talked about this movie. why would anyone?
  2. It's a comic book kinda movie? What did I do? No trailers allowed? No discussions involving poorly made films? Hell, in that case, nuke the whole sub
  3. I heard a new Quicksilver movie has been greenlit. Someone said it in front of me at Starbucks in Studio City.
  4. Nice colors. I really like those dollar reprint books.
  5. Maybe. Was he the guy in the Journal threads that was gonna make a killing selling comics, lives with his parents, got fired from Subway, etc, etc, etc....
  6. I find Swampie a bore. Don’t understand the interest he gets. Don’t/Cant remember Gabe. No this guy was genuine and interesting. He couldn’t or wouldn’t listen to anyone that AF15 might possibly slow down a bit from the madness of 2017. And it did and he disappeared.
  7. Yeah. That’s the way I remembered it. Now my memory is starting to get hazy just speaking in general, but yeah this guy was really under the theory that the Chinese would carry this hobby into the future with big prices only getting bigger because, we’ll, became of the Chinese. Look on af 15 thread circa two years ago. oh yeah, SPIDEY WILL NEVER DIE was his rallying call. Good times.
  8. Have Chinese collectors had an impact on prices? I’m half joking (couple of years ago some guy in the long running SA AF 15 thread was convince once the Chinese collectors/investors showed up prices would suddenly spike and stay out of reach for most of us). Dealers?: lots of Chinese callers snatching up books?
  9. Jim Lee was wearing a Seiko 6105 diver. But I digress. How much are they? Kinda fast forwarded through it cause the music was super-*@#
  10. Are you giving screen direction to the camera? I'm not following you, sir.
  11. How's WWBN #32 doing? That was the biggie going up the charts when I jumped back in a couple of years ago. I said to myself, "That's crazy. Can't last forever. I'll pick it up on the downturn." Was I right or was I right?! No, I don't want to Goggle the answer. No, I don't want to look at GPA. I want someone to tell me. I'll trust a stranger's opinion before I'll do the work myself. Don't wanna do nothing but finish the new John Waters' book. EDIT: Oh, Yeah - POST CLOSED!
  12. I try to watch you guys. On planes, with my nieces and nephews, in line at Target, on a TV on top of the gas pump while I'm pumping gas (honest. some Mobile stations here have Tv's playing movies) and I just can't do it. I spit up in my mouth.
  13. You're obviously a smart man. You're smarter than me. I'm not joking. I've met you and know this to be true. I guess the problem is me. Look I'm a fan of summer movies, too but does every movie have to be a superhero movie? You'd think you guys that like this junk would be the ones worried about over saturation making this entire genre go the way of the westerns, therefor perhaps crashing the comic market like someone wrote above. Sigh, just gotta drink the kool aid.
  14. No. In hopes the 4 or 5 media companies that are left can divert some of that super-hero billions and make, I dunno, some films with a beginning, middle and end that would play in a movie theater. Two plot points, ect. I.e. Better movies. I'm so sick of super hero movies. I can't be the only one. I'd like a world where a film like The Bridge over the River Kwai could be made and shown in theaters today. Is that too much to ask? Can we have 3 less sequels, re-whatevers, comic book movies a year and have a Bridge over the River Kwai get made and released?
  15. So i'm pretty bored over here. started watching really, really bad fan-made comic book movies (as opposed to really, really bad "professionally" made films with half a billion dollar budgets )on you-tube. got to thinking, anybody know of the oldest one made. From the 60s? 70s? I think cons in the 70s had films shown. wonder if somebody made a fan film and projected it there. I am aware of the shot-by-shot remade Raiders Of The Los Ark fan film some enterprising young folk made.
  16. who cares? i gotta get off this thing and do something constructive.
  17. I honestly hope comic prices skyrocket 10x per day for 365 days so I don't have to rub elbows with all the little people of this hobby. It's tough being the World's Greatest Comic Collector.
  18. What does it say if I really, really like the Nazis terrorizing girls covers like this? I mean even as a little kid.
  19. He said he was sorry, but perhaps my friend in jail was unreachable.
  20. Surprisingly it was one of his kinder responses to me. But, yeah, mainly he'd just put you on blast.
  21. Here, you wanna listen to this sh*t over an 18 hour day? I remember the sexy chic on the bike knocked it over while slithering all over it during a shot and it fell over on her and she started crying. What else? Gene Simmons "produced" this horrid band. No one could take his picture on set because he was in the process of getting a hair weave. You wanna feel sorry for someone, than here, I did this for money.
