  1. Digital comics museum and here... https://www.comicextra.com/comic-list are where I go for comics scans online. Comicsextra has pretty much everything and to me is easier to navigate than other comic scan sites, which is why I go there
  2. Heat is the worst thing for newsprint. All comics that are brown and brittle are because of being in a hot environment. extreme heat even for a small amount of time cannot be good for newsprint
  3. Here's one that's not listed anywhere. This has to be Vince Fago, who was editor at Timely from 1942 to 1945 drawing himself in this Super Rabbit #2 story...
  4. But Robin sold and that's all publishers cared about. Kids liked Robin and could identify with him and Batman comics skyrocketed in popularity after the introduction of Robin, which is why publishers gave almost every one of their superheros a kid sidekick after that. I prefer cheesy, stupid Batman anyway and don't like trying to make superheros realistic and serious like comics of the last 40 years and the modern superhero movies. blah. So you are saying you don't like this? ...
  5. This is what I was going to say. All these characters should have been public domain decades ago. All the creators are dead and it's ridiculous that one company can own something they had no hand in creating. Copyright laws are BS. Thanks a lot Disney. If anyone could make a Batman comic or movie we would have much better and more interesting stuff.
  6. My favorites are ones in Fox funny animal titles. They always just threw in a violent crime text story in the middle of a funny animal comic
  7. Last issue of what? The title you have hidden I am sure he wrote stuff for in the 80s too. Wasn't the last thing he wrote for DC in like 2004?
  8. I hope he does it just to screw with people wanting a meaningless scribble. That's what I would do. Why anyone would want a scribble of an artist's name I have no idea. I want a drawing of something from an artist.
  9. How about the logo messing with the characters?...
  10. So he waited until he was 91 to fake his death? The guy was NINETY ONE so it's not like he had much time left anyway. If anyone wanted to fake their death they would do it way before they were that old
  11. It's Great Lakes Newsstand at the corner of E 105th Street and Euclid Avenue in Cleveland Ohio in early1940. I can't find an exact original source, but this copy of it comes from a 1970s fanzine called Xenophile which reprinted it from a 1940 news agent magazine, no specific source was given.
