If anyone is able to pick up a book from Scott Blair's table and ship it to me, let me know via PM. He's got a sketch cover already CGC'd that I'd love to have, but none of the facilitator's that I reached out to responded to got back to me.
I understand this is a pretty big ask though. -

Asking on behalf of my brother. He bought several autograph tickets thinking there would be someone on-site that could get signatures witnessed, so he's looking for anyone that he could have witness or facilitate these signatures on comic books.
I know he's got Ewan McGregor and Anthony Daniels for sure. Not certain which other celebs he bought tickets for.
It's REALLY late in the game to be trying to make these arrangements, but any suggestions for contacts would be most welcome.
OfficialPix was doing preorders for Star Wars Celebration, including CGC Signature Series but I'm not sure if they do in person submissions. It might be worth reaching out to them.
Their website looks like it's moving to Shopify and I couldn't find their contact info on it, but they have a Facebook page and Facebook group that is pretty active though -- that might be your best bet.
Good luck! -
I got a couple variant covers from Tristan Thompson that I've had trouble finding online. I looked for some good condition copies of silver age Green Lantern books but couldn't find much.
Found a few out of print manga volumes I was missing for cheap - Ranma 1/2, One-pound Gospel, mostly Rumiko Takahashi stuff that Viz doesn't want to reprint. I've been on a huge manga kick lately after not reading anything since ~2007 and the series I never finished are all pricey if I want to finish them. My wallet wasn't happy when I saw there was a better than usual selection. -
I only went on Friday and had a good time. It was my first time going to a con on a Friday and it felt so much easier to get around.
I mostly shopped for books and met celebs. Since there wasn't a CGC facilitator I didn't bother with commissions, something my wallet is probably thanking me for. -

Same actually. Really just want to get mine and my wife’s copies of Kanan #1 signed by Freddie Prinze Jr. If you hear anything or if anyone knows a facilitator going I’d be much obliged. 🙏
If you don't hear word on someone for Motor City check out Galaxycon - they have a private signing with him next month and have CGC witnesses they work with.

In terms of comic book dealers would you say there was a bunch - it looks like it has a ton of celebrities which is usually not good when it comes to the number of comic book booths. What is your opinion?
I'm probably a bad judge because I try to cram comic shopping, celebrities and seeing artists all into one day.
If you compare it to another close by event like Cincinnati Comic Expo, there's roughly the same amount of larger comic specific dealers. It seems like they get a lot of small shops though, as I see a lot of smaller booths packed with "hot" modern books and variant covers.
-
I'll be there!
I've gone to a lot of their shows in the past, and for the size it's pretty good. The artist alley last year had a lot of empty space, so I hope that changes this time around. -

I never submitted to CGC before but was told the grader would view the signature as "writing on the cover" and mark me down. In looking at the website it seems like the mag would be Qualified in a green holder for signatures not witnessed but says nothing about points off for writing.
Also, not sure if this 2002 Lebron James is rare or not in high grade and found a comic registry but not a magazine registry. Anyone know if it exists for Mags and where it is?
Thanks,
Brad
You'll get the green label by default, yeah. There are some who will contact CGC and tell them to grade it as a Universal/Blue label with the signature counting against the grade.
There's no magazine registry either unfortunately. I hope they add one eventually, as I have a small collection of Entertainment Weekly and Maxim magazines signed by celebrities. -

Lol, is there a reason you don't like Jonboy? I've never met him but I do admire his work. The name Jonboy comes with an air of "gym tan laundry" but I feel like there's more of a story here...
I'm assuming it has something to do with the signature fee Jonboy has for the Keanu Reeves signed BRZRKR variant.

So happy to have this Star Sapphire back from Ramona Fradon. Shout out to @Catskillcomics for the help here.
Also got this Ro Yoshimiya sketch back at the end of last year, but I've been a bit too busy to post.
For those unfamiliar, this is Kirino Kosaka from a Japanese light novel series/anime called Oreimo. -

Hi there,
Just wondering if there are any facilitators working with OC Celebrity Marketing LLC for the Katey Sagal and David Faustino signing? I searched their website and I didn't see an CGC option. I've recently send them an email, but have yet to hear back from them. Any information is appreciated.
Twin Cities Comics recently partnered with OC Celebrity Marketing LLC for their Nancy Cartwright signing, but I haven't seen them post about either of these signings.

I love Lomov's traditional work, Chun-Li came out great!
Did you go through Trinity for this one? I foolishly didn't sign up for the last list they took.

Top 3 for me are probably a little weird to most others - celebs that I have a book ready to go for, but they don't do cons/haven't done a signing.
- Aubrey Plaza
- Carley Rae Jepsen
- Kacey Musgraves

I was surprised he had no line. I’m not a wrestling fan but he was kinda excited to sign a comic book rather than a wrestling item
Kind of surprised he didn't have a line, especially with Fast 9 coming out this year.
I'm hoping he does more cons next year, because I have that same issue waiting for his signature. -
If you submit them to CCS, you will be able to retain the Signature Series label, yes. You pay for grading at the Signature Series rate and the cost to press.
There are also some other approved pressers that can press Signature Series books while keeping the Signature Series label, from what I've read on this forum over the years. I can't be of any help pointing those people out for you though, as I've never used one. -

Thanks for digging this up! This wasn't the one I was thinking about, but it's still cool to see that this has happened more than a few times now.
I'll see if I can't dig through CGC news articles this weekend. -
Excited that I got this back today. Thanks @Kevlar for facilitating.

I could have sworn that CGC did this with another indie book a few years ago. (Without the COA, around 2015-ish?). I can't remember the book or publisher, so Google hasn't been any help.
Anyone remember this, or do I maybe need to make an appointment with my doctor?

So, which issues would be best for her signature, in terms of resale value?
I'm hesitant to say any would be best for resale value, but going off of former sales the Wonder Woman #50 photo variant has always been worth more than any of the other photo variants DC has put out.
I'd say just send in something that you would be happy to have in your collection. -

Can I still make my own window-bags with taped-off areas for CGC in-house send-in signings, or must we now use only the CGC yellow window-bags since they became available?
I want a sig in a specific area, which is partly covered by the yellow window-bags' border.
It's not required no. Just an option if you don't want to make your own.

I can't tell you how long I've had alerts set up for photo covers for this series; they're not cheap in good quality. Congrats on that sweet 9.8!
